Your advice on BLOG topics

I figured it was senseless to do a BLOG with posts only about my items. So I decided to make it something beneficial for myself and others........by doing daily wellness challenges.

Don't know if it will generate any business, but at least I'm doing something positive in the meantime!

I only have 3 followers though, so how do you all get followers for your blog?

I checked it out and think it is wonderful... a lot of time went into it... I think your daily challanges are a great idea... My insect would be a butterfly ;-)

I can't really answer your question about how to increase followers, as I do not have a blog, but I think you're on the right track just by posting it here...

I also recently made my blog, today I posted there for first time :) I hope my english grammar won't scare all away from there! But I wont give up that easy! At least not yet...
Firstly I'm thinking to post bit more on my blog. It will be something about things around me, some tutorials (i heard that they working almost always). My goal is to tray get my blog in googles search first page! That could really work and attract many followers! :D
Secondly, I will use twitter to tweet about my shop, and new posts in blog. It isn't that hard to get twitter followers, only question is how many will notice and fallow my tweets.
Also you can add link in your signatures in forums and your etsy, facebook, myspace etc account. Notify your friends about your blog. Even if they wont read every day, you will get few followers and who knows, after month they could remember that you had a blog...
Off course some people and web sites offers for money to get tons of followers quickly, but I don't think that is best option, because you can't know does those people are interested in blogs and what you are selling.

P.S. I bit thinked here and came to conclusion, that idea about posts, that work only for 1 day maybe isn't that good. Because your posts will be found even after year. Then daily posts would be out dated and wouldn't grab that much attention. Think how long you will make those challenges. But some tips, advices could be usable even after 5 years. Anyway I think, that your blog is nice and daily challenges can be very inspiring, but I think that they will work more for those who are fallowing you already.

Keep in mind that with followers, that's just one way of tracking how many people are subscribing to your site. I don't use Blogger's follower option, because I subscribe through Google Reader to the blogs I want to read regularly. You may have more than you think!

I think your idea of wellness is a refreshing concept for us over worked artists.However I probably would not participate in a challenge.For me a grandmother of 3 who works full time for her grown sons....and follows my creative heart in my off time simply wouldn't have the time or energy.But you must blog what's in YOUR heart and make it you.That's what all bloggers look for honesty,what makes you and your blog all about YOU!
I think a blog that makes me stop and take a deep breath of peace and wellness could really become contagious.Good luck!!! I have become a recent follower and I look forward to your blog journey=)

I stopped by your blog and became a follower. I like the idea of adding something other than advertising your products and shops. I think to have a successful blog you have to give your readers reasons to come back.

It's also nice to see recipes, a few personal photos of either people or places and the stories behiind them.
