New Facebook Page - "like" as a page vs. "like" via your personal profile

I am not sure whether I am missing something or this is just how new fb page functions.

Here is what I noticed: up until today I "liked" pages as myself(obviously, since there was no option to "like" as a page). Today I switched to the new fb page, so now I can communicate "as a page" with all my shop fans. That's great, but when, as a page, I visited another page that I already liked before I discovered that I have to like it again.

Am I just hopelessly confused and not using new functionality correctly?
