Need Help...Please!!!

Hi, everyone!

My name is Marlene, and my mom (MaryAnne) and I have been working CraftaholicWoman actively since the end of November. However, we have made NO sales. I am the computer end of things, and I have been killing myself to get this shop up and running. I need honest opinions from who ever is willing to give them to help us get our shop really going and get some sales. If you have the time, I would love to get your thoughts.

Thanks!!!

Hi Marlene. Keep your chin up - it took 3 months before I got any sales and finally a friend bought something. Once you have a sale or two, the others will start coming in. Have faith and keep up the good work. I will say, however, looking at your descriptions, there are too many of the same descriptions for your dolls. Try and make a concerted effort to personalise each listing and not copy and paste the description from another listing. Just tweak them here and there to make them special, each and every one. Because they are!

Do you sell your dolls somewhere else? Like craft fairs? If you do, it is very important to have business cards with your etsy address to give out at craft fairs and make sure you give a business card to everyone who purchases from you at craft fairs. That is where a lot of my sales come from on etsy.

buttonalia - Thanks for the good advice. I do try to do a little sentence that is different for each fairy right at the beginning, but you're right. I do cut and paste. We have over 70 fairies. It will be really hard to make each and every one different, but I will see if I can.

Thanks for taking a look and giving your advice!

realfruitjewelry - Thanks for looking! We just got into this, so we hadn't done any yet. But, we have our first one coming up on the 26th, so we are going to start "boning up" on what needs to be done and what we need to take so we can be prepared ahead of time.

Thanks!

Re: Need Help...Please!!!

I just opened my shop a week ago, but I had another shop for 8 months and it took four months to get my first sale so, all I can say is to be patient and keep marketing and promoting your shop.

I have a new shop: chelsearainbow.etsy.com
I have always loved jewelry and I love the relationship that women have with their jewelry. It makes us feel beautiful, feminine, and powerful. It affects us in many ways, and even if a piece does not cost thousands of dollars, it is still precious to us.
Stop by and see my new work: chelsearainbow.etsy.com
