My newest listing and a question about time vs. price

Hello!

I just posted my first jewelry set over $60. Factoring in time, I really should have priced it higher but I didn't want to "over do it". I hope it finds a buyer:

I also don't want to undervalue my time and work, or anyone else's, by pricing an item too low that takes some time to create. Is there a dilemma in the crafting community when it comes to time spent on some pieces?

Re: My newest listing and a question about time vs. price

I read an article in one of the Etsy newsletters that talked about how quality consumers will assume that something too low in price Must be cheaply made. It made perfect sense to me and I started pricing my things accordingly. If this was Yardsellr where everyone seems to be looking for a bargain, lowering prices would make sense. But this site, far as I can see, will spend good money for a unique item that 'speaks' to them :)

Good luck!!!

lovely necklace

I think that people pay for quality. Don't underprice yourself. You'll sell, but you won't feel good about yourself.
