I've been making coupon codes for 10% off a returning customer purchase. I make the coupon code their name- easy to remember, personal, and I can delete the code after they've used it if I want to.

seems like a good idea, my customers seem pleased with it.

also, for the 2 customer I messed up shipping for, I did a deeper discount for their next purchase. hope it helps :/

I've done the exact same thing for someone who is a repeat customer and always orders a lot. I think it's a good idea. I think using their name as the code is a nice way of making it seem personal.

I think it can't but help with repeat sales. I don't give it to everyone, though...it would be mostly for someone who was buying in quantity or with regularity

Hmmm... that's a really great idea. I might try that the next time I get a repeat customer or someone who is buying multiple items. And I love using their name as the coupon code!

I've been sending out coupons for quite some time and they work miracles. Satisfied customers will always come back especially for a discount :)
