Creep Factor for me but: Custom Order, American Psycho anyone?

Hi Team!

A customer contacted me in regards to hand stamping a custom order for her on a cuff bracelet.

She wants a Bret Easton Ellis/American Psycho quote hand stamped on a bracelet:

"I tried to make meat loaf out of the girl but it becomes too frustrating a task and instead I spend the afternoon smearing her meat all over the walls, chewing on strips of skin I ripped from her body"

hahaha!!! I wouldn't mind it if I stamped bracelets but I totally understand Not wanting to take a sale because it's not your thing!!! I don't mind the morbid and, out of respect for the general public, I won't do profanity- even though I've got a mouth like a seasoned sailor ;~) But a friend of my cousins came to me and asked if I could make a rubber duckie purse. I told her I would embroider the duck on a different bag if she bought it to me. But she wants a Giggles clutch. I flat-out told her it wasn't going to happen. I'm poor but I'll live on ramen noodles for the rest of my days before I send one of my babies out in the world with (shudder!!!) rubber duckies

or teddy bears
or fluffy kittens
or anything that's sitting on a doily in my dear Grammies house

Yea, I am sure someone will do it and won't have the reaction I had to it... but I just didn't want to stamp that-- I couldn't... and according to the profile it was a woman that requested it... but who knows... her profile is blank aside from the name.. Thanks for the feedback, glad I'm not alone, wonder if anyone took the order... :)

oh my gosh....why on earth would you want that?! I am seriously hoping that is some how an inside joke...
I think I would feel uncomfortable putting my name to that as well....(that is if I could stamp bracelets) ;)

yea, that is a strange request . If it is an inside joke or something her and her friends talk about- or they're really into that movie it would've been nice for her to tell you. It's off putting to have the first contact from her be so morbid. Good for you for not doing something that makes you uncomfortable.
