Blogspot vs. Wordpress

Very new to blogging...not sure where to start? What do you guys think of blogger (is that the same as blogspot?) vs. wordpress?

Blogspot is more user friendly, so definitely good for a beginner. It also has a more of a community feel etc...

Wordpress is much more advanced, and in that, you have much more freedom to craft and customize your blog as you want. I use wordpress on my .com blog... http://www.humphreyshandmade.com/blog - IMHO it's much better if you also want your blog to go with your 'brand'.

My blog is fairly new, but for what I want to do with it Wordpress is what I prefer to use.

I used blogspot as a beginner and stuck with it, came for the easy, stayed for the cute. ;)

Good question and an informative response, since I am soon going to start blogging as well.
I wonder if both of these options can be shared on FB or is that a silly question ??? lol

I tried both and as a beginner had a really hard time posting photos on Wordpress. Blogger was much easier to start with, like you said, but still experimenting...

You've got good answers here. Blogger is definitely more intuitive for a beginner. I eventually found it frustrating, though, because I couldn't do as much customizing/controlling as I wanted, so I switched to WordPress (and host through my own server/domain). It's pretty easy to switch from one to the other if down the road you decide to change. Good luck!

I've never looked at Wordpress so I can't really tell anything about it. However, Blogger is really easy to use and you can personalize it easily.

Just started a blog on blogger. www.customizedliving.blogspot.com. If anyone can tell me how to add Etsi mini and a Facebook app to my sidebar, I'd really appreciate it!! It's easy to use, and I can't even seem to get that to work, lol!
