Anyone using AddThis sharing/bookmarking tool?

Just wondering...I am seeing this on more and more sites and wanted to know if any of you use this. I have Windows 7, IE8 so I assume this addon would be compatible. I read a bit about it after I saw it on Joann.com Seems like it would be an easy way to share/mark.

Also...anyone have a problem with the 'Like' button no showing up on facebook biz page?

Thanks!
Karen

Re: Anyone using AddThis sharing/bookmarking tool?

I have addthis on my blog posts. I don't think anyone ever clicks on it though.

Also, I think you can only use FB like buttons as a personal account, not as a page. Whenever I am logged in as my page and I click a like button, it asks me to switch to my personal account.

Glad I'm not the only one that finds Facebook confusing! Never know whether to post on my Wall, Status, profile or what have you. Anyone know where there is a simple explanation for a simple silver surfer to follow? Very grateful if there is!

__________

You're wall, status, and profile are all basically the same thing. Your status is the sentence you post "I just made this really cool thing!" Your wall is where that sentence shows up (as opposed to the "info" section of your profile which has your name and interests or whatever you put there.) Your status also shows up in your friends' newsfeeds (which is what you see when you click on "home" when logged into facebook.

Pages act just like profiles, except that they don't interface with "like" buttons on sites other than facebook. So if you are logged in as your page, you can go to another facebook page and "like" it, but if you are reading an article on a blog, or the New York Times, or looking at an item on etsy and try to "like" it, you will be asked to switch to your personal profile.

Does that make any sense?

Sorry not to have got back to you earlier - have been trying to make sense of acres of hints via the Handmadeology team, and am beginning to feel I'm floundering! However, your explanation did help somewhat - thanks for bothering!
