Novice - looking for some advice/help

I'm not a jewellery maker, I make leather journals that I sell at craft fairs and will be starting up on here soon :)

In the past I've made these teeny dollshouse size journals that sold really well and my best friend loved them. She also loves unusual earrings and I wanted to turn a pair into some earrings for her as her Christmas present.

But I have no idea where to start. If anyone could give me any advice/tips, tell me what basic stuff I'll need to get started and where's best to buy supplies in the UK I'd be very grateful. I'm always amazed at the craftsmanship of jewellery makers on Etsy and thought I should ask the best!
