Slump in Sales, Whats up?

I read a blog about a renewing strategy (look at google analytics and see when your peek viewing hours are and renew during those times) and I thought I'd try it this month for a whole month. I renewed items everyday at 2pm and 7pm and I was getting sales every other day for the first two weeks and I got some great feedback. Now these past two weeks I've only had one sale. I listed more items so my shop looks more full and reliable, and I"m going to re-take all my photos on Monday to update the quality. Is there anything that I need to improve (tags, titles, shop info etc.) Or do I just need to be patient?

Thanks Dara, I've been reading a lot about things slowing down. I was just wondering if I was or wasn't doing something that I should.

My sales are slow. Very slow had more sales via summer of 2010.

That's really interesting Kimberly. I think I might try that. I've been on Etsy since Jan. and I haven't had a sale yet. Maybe that's normal, I don't know.

It takes a while to start getting sales when you are new to etsy. I had some sales since the first of the year but it has been slow lately. It really gets discouraging sometimes. Keep working and sales will come your way. I plan to take some new pics in the next couple of weeks to give my items a different look.

it's been really slow for me too. I really like the activity button now because I can see if people are adding my shop or items to favorites. It keeps me from getting too discouraged. I see people are looking and seem to like my items, I just don't know how to get them to actually follow through with a sale.

I do a similar thing- renewing at strategic times throughout the day- but i have noticed a slump over the past few months. i have to keep telling myself that it's a slow time of year for retail in general... but i'm hoping that it picks up soon :)
