Hi there new team members! This is your captain Sheryl, I run Noadi's Art here on Etsy and also write the Handmade Business Blog. I started the blog almost 2 years ago to share what I've learned running my shop.

Now that anyone can start a team here on Etsy I've decided to create this team for people to share and discuss business topics with each other.

HI everyone, I'm Lisa From Imagination Tailors I make Kids Dress-up Clothes. I started with Aprons, Tutus and Capes and now I am getting into Pettiskirts. and have started making a few little matching Items for 18 inch Dolls. I have also been Dabbling in dance Costuming. It is Tailors Plural because for the Dance Stuff I am part of a little team. I am here to learn as much about marketing, and etsy in general. I have had some success with craft shows but am slow to get things listed on here I may be over thinking it I can't seem to get the words out when it comes to the descriptions of Items. This is a plea for help.

Hello Team! My name is Valerie and I run UniqueManningJewelry and not to new to Etsy as I had a shop back in 2009 but for some odd reason I lost my account which was sad as I had some great feedback and a few sales and some hearts. Now I seem to be in a stale area and would love to learn more about how I can market, my pricing and my descriptions.

I make necklaces, bracelets and earrings out of my home in New York state. I also own my own website but that seems to not be going as well as I would like it to go.

I know I will learn a lot from all of you. Thank you for the chance to learn and improve my shop.

Hi everyone! my name is Shanna and I run In Stitches Boutique. I started this thread so that I could learn from other business owners. I opened my shop in October 2010 and I have only sold one item (which doesn't count because my mother in law bought that one item) I live in Texas. We moved down here a year ago.I am a stay at home mom. I have no one no family very few friends and all three of my kids are in school.All I have is my shop and I need it to work.

Hi, I am Sandra. I am relatively new to etsy and am slowly learning my way around here. I am 55 yrs young, with two teens (God help me) at home and am located in Ferndale, Washington. I sell vintage, redesigned and contemporary jewelry and can use all the help and suggestions you'all can give me on promotion and marketing. Hello My name is Jessica I have resently found myself a stay at home mommy(lost my job) and have taken on art and sewing projects to help people locally have access to unique and handmade gifts and home items and it brought in a little extra income. A loved on suggested I join Etsy and post some of my extra items. My 6 year old daughter loves helping out with our creations and helping with the posting on Etsy. We are both having a great time and I personally would like to blossom into a profitable home based business. Any suggestions or advice is welcomed please :)

Hello everyone! My name is Correen and I started Correen's Creative Designs in 2002 as an escape from my day job in HR when my sons were born. I am a designer/seamstress who loves to create costumes, special occasion wear and mainly anything with fabric.

My website had been holding it's own for awhile bringing in a steady stream of work until the economy tanked over the last year or two. I turned to Etsy in hopes to drive some more sales into my humble workspace and it has been a great experience.

Even though I have been at this a while - everyday is a learning curve and I want to bring my business to be the best it can be. I look forward to growing and learning with all of you!

Hello everyone :) My name is Hoon. Since I was five years old and moving around a lot my dad always made it a point that I had an "art table" in my room. I think this greatly affected my life for the better. Now I am constantly creating and I love it.

Last summer I started selling things at festivals & shows and I did great without even really trying. I started my etsy shop a couple weeks ago. I get super excited just by getting a view! But I can't seem to make my first sale. Well I hope to grow and learn how to better my business with everyone :)

Hi, I'm Lori. My business is called Trendy Tykes where I sell unique handmade embroidered items for infants, toddlers and moms. I live in Michigan and I am very fortunate to be able to fulfill my dream of working at home doing what I love to do. I have a shop here on Esty and a website. I also write a blog. I am still trying to figure out how to get more hours out of the day! It's hard for me to make good quality items and keep up on all the social networking at the same time.

I have an MFA in Graphic Design and I spend a lot of my working hours on designing for businesses and then the rest of my time working on my passion - my invitations. I love creating fun, unique invitations, but am just as happy to design a more traditional invitation, as well.

For a little bit of personal information: I was a single mom for the past 13 years, but that changed last summer when I got married. I'm originally from Oregon and now live in Massachusetts. I'm so lucky that my office is just a 5 minute drive from my house and that I get to do what I love every single day!

Hello, Team!

I'm a polymer artist from NW Ohio, USA, specializing in bold wearable art. I opened my Etsy shop originally to deal with the all the stuff that I was making, before it reached critical mass!

Though I've garnered some critical acclaim for my work (1st Place Beadstar category winner, 1st Place Challenge prize in PolymerCafe), I haven't really hit stride with my buying audience here on Etsy.

I'm hoping that interaction with this team will help me to better understand the inner workings and evolving trends of Etsy, and find my niche customers.

Hello! My Name is Neva and I run the shop Wide Hollow Images - which for now has my open wildlife prints. I love to do alot of different things - chrochet - quilt- knit and woodworking just for starters...... I'm very new to all of this and I am finding that some of the wonderful information I am getting just isn't sinking in. If I can have a hand in this group every day then it should get easier? I can paint etc but the business end of the shop leaves something to be desired - so hopefully we can all learn from each other?

Hi there...we are new to Etsy too as of Nov. 2010. We are located in Boulder, Colorado where we are raising my son along with lots of other young families.
My partner uses his original photographs and silk-screens them onto repurposed fabrics which I then design and sew into children's clothing. We have dreams of running this business full time some day - sooner rather than later - and hope to glean everything we can from those who have gone before us! :-)
