Now that anyone can start a team here on Etsy I've decided to create this team for people to share and discuss business topics with each other.

Greetings from Portland, I opened my shop last August when I decided not to go back to teaching after 20 years and have been working to create Mama Jean's Kind Threads. I love to make quilts and clothing especially for people of size and creating new from old. I am working on ways to promote my business and have been hitting the payment lately in town to try and find shops that might be interested in carrying some of my items and if anyone has ideas, I'm open.

Hi Everyoe-
My name is Tracy and I joinedd Etsy a few months ago. I've aways done a lot of sewing, mostly my own clothes. A few years ago, I stated painting and dyeing fabrics, then making them into clothes. Lots of people told me I should sell my things, so I am trying. I started with bags and have made lots, different sizes and shapes and for various purposes. I've put some scarves in the Etsy shop, and a few garments, and I'm making more now. I've sold things at local markets, but had only one sale on Etsy so far.

It seems a lot of people need to know how to attract customers, and I've read the suggestions and will try them. Thanks for the support and ideas!

Hi, my name is Rosanna, I live in Carson City NV. I hve 2 great kids, 3 grand kids and 1 great grand daughter!
I have been crocheting all my life! My grand mother taught me at the age of 4! I started selling my crocheting in school, I made crochet cross book marks for $.50 ea! LOL Now I would like to quit my day job and do my crafts full time, crocheting, knitting, desiging with beads or threads, and dream catchers, but before I can do that, I have to have some sales!
