An Honest Critique on my shop

Hey everyone, I hope it's not too much to ask but...

I really would like to know what you think about the shop?
redlotusdesignz.etsy.com

Any feedback, comments, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just started my shop along with my husband and it would be wonderful if we can receive some feedback on it.

Thanks so much,

Diana

Re: An Honest Critique on my shop

I would work a bit on my photos. The '3 piece ice cream' set and duck are my favs.
Try to use natural light. Close ups are best. Simple backgrounds...all of which you are doing to an extent. Just take it one step further. The fact that you already have one sale is pretty awesome! You also may want to beef up your intro. The first thing I see is what you sell and what you're willing to do to sell. Um.. maybe: why it would be good for me to purchase from you and what impact does this have on your lives (you and your husband) A little 'warm and fuzzy' feeling would be a nice touch for such warm fuzzy products :-)
Hope this helps!

Re: An Honest Critique on my shop

I am with Sugartreecreek. I love that you and your husband are doing this together but you should show a little be character in your profile story. I love to read about people. I am more willing to buy from someone if I like them.
Pictures are a big deal!! If they do not show off what you are selling, people will look away. I just joined this team this moring and one of the main things I need help with is photos!
I guess we all learn as we go~
Feel free to stop by my shop and help me with any ideas that you may have for me~
Thanks,
Kristi

Oh I love your banner! As they said above the pics are the key other than that I think it's cute as can be. I have no room to talk about pics I sure need to improve mine.

Re: An Honest Critique on my shop

Your banner is so cute.. sharing your personal story is a huge plus, and photography is a huge plus, to repeat what other people said--your pictures are typically the first thing people see, and begin to form their opinions on--give them something great from the get-go so they're interested in reading your item descriptions, and your story! Good luck!

& Also, I think it'd be a great idea to add onto this post with other shop critiques. I'd be open to receiving constructive criticism as well, it's always much appreciated!

Re: An Honest Critique on my shop

I agree about telling more about yourslef and making your shop more personal. You items are nice but you want to draw people in to have a look around. This is your shop, tell us why you do what you do.
I also feel as you do and would love if people could give me feedback as well. I opened last month and all my sales are local to me and none are through ETZY. I need help!

Re: An Honest Critique on my shop

You have a cute shop, but you need to list more items in it so people have a choice of things to buy from.

I have always loved jewelry and I love the relationship that women have with their jewelry. It makes us feel beautiful, feminine, and powerful. It affects us in many ways, and even if a piece does not cost thousands of dollars, it is still precious to us.
