Tennessee Towns

Hello everyone!
I'd love to hear what town you are from hare in Tennessee and a little bit about it, perhaps even your favorite spot. I'll start:

I'm from Cleveland, Tennessee, not far from Chattanooga. We're called "The City with Spirit." You are never far from friends here. It's just large enough to have almost everything you could ever need. At the same time, it's just small enough to see people you know just about every time you go out.

My favorite place here is a little coffeehouse run by the Salvation Army. The people are always friendly and all profits go to support the Salvation Army. If that was not enough, they serve a "nutella freeze" which is a little like a mocha but with nutella mixed in. :)

What about your town?

Re: Tennessee Towns

Hi Elaine!...When I was a younger lad I worked in Cleveland. I worked with a construction company from where I live now. we built the Dr. Scholl's factory there. 1980-1981

My family and I live in Dyersburg Tn now, and I have most of my life. We just move back here 3 years ago after living in Texas for 10 years...We miss Texas...but love Tennessee for the kids and grands!...

Dyersburg, I suppose is a small southern town with some that like to hunt, fish, and ride 4 wheelers...lol.....I never conformed though...:)

Re: Tennessee Towns

Hey guys.., I am from Cleveland, TN too! Born and raised, although I have traveled all over, but always come home. : o)

Its a great place to live and raise a family and is a small town with several of the amenities of a bigger one. Love that it is close to the Cherokee National Forest and the Ocoee River as well. My favorite spot in our town would have to be all the parks in the area and the Greenway. Now that we have small children we love to take them there so they can get out in the fresh air and play.., away from the TV and video games.

Re: Tennessee Towns

Hi there,

I am in Lebanon, TN.  We were once a small sleepy town but goodness we have started growing like crazy.  We are close to water and nature parks so fairly family friendly and safe.

We are getting more name brand stores/resturants.  I miss some of the old ones that have closed.
