Welcome

Hi there,

Welcome to your team's own personal forum! This is your place to facilitate constructive communication within the team. It can serve as your team's main discussion hub, or a place where you post announcements every so often. You must follow the http://www.etsy.com/policy/dosdonts#community_forums_chat_vl'>Etsy Forum guidelines when posting in the Teams Forum, and make sure that you are familiar with the http://www.etsy.com/policy/dosdonts#community_teams_archive'>Teams DO's and DON'Ts.

Even though teams are run by volunteer members of the community, all of Etsy's site policies still apply to team members and activities. However, Team Forums are moderated by the team leadership, not by Etsy Admin. Check out our http://help.etsy.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/340'>Forum Moderation Guide to learn how Team Forums should be governed.

Although you can chose whether a post is public (viewable by anyone logged in to Etsy) or private (visible only to team members), please consider the Team Forums as public spaces and remember to treat one another with respect.

Now it's time to start talking with your team!

Best,

Morgan and the Etsy Community

Hi, I'm Mary Beth and I am sewing/selling children's clothing. Mainly toddler dresses. I'm a mom of 3 teenage boys and owned a retail food store for 16 years before divorcing, so I hadn't had much time until this year. I love creating retro as well as traditional clothes. Loving this group so far. Great tips!! I hope that eventually I can offer advice too.

Hi. I'm Amanda. Thanks for letting me join! I'm a stay at home mom of three young boys. I have always loved to sew and create things. My sister holds a Christmas boutique every year as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis research. She has complained that there are never many items for little boys, so this year I started making fun and funky bow ties for her to sell and decided to start a shop on Etsy. I'm completely new to all of this so any help and advice would be great!

Hello! I'm Becca. I just recently relocated back to the US from Spain with my family....a wonderful husband, 2 almost 3 year old son, and our big black lab. In the midst of our transatlantic move, I began my children's clothing business, izari. It's been a whirlwind these last few months but I'm hoping to spend more time creating in 2011!
So nice to be part of this team....excited to grow and develop our business with eachothers support!
xo, Becca

Re: Welcome

Hi! I'm Angie, and I have just started really working on this shop. I've got another shop as well, that's kinda empty. I sell a lot over on ebay yet. I make hair clips and sew lots and lots and lots of clothing (ask my hubby--we have a huge wall of fabric and a filing cabinet of patterns!) Looking to find others who sew for kids too!

I'm in SE KS, and mom to 1 son and step mom to one boy and one girl who both live here full time with us. All 3 kids are on the autism spectrum.

I'm Graceful Stitches on facebook, and can be found also at www.sunnypatchcottage.wordpress.com.

Nice to meet ya'll!

Re: Welcome

Hello all!

I am Jamie, owner of For Your Little MOnkey (FYLM) and Lola Decor. FYLM is a custom onesie & toddler shirt shop that I started during my pregnancy in 2008. At the same time, I started Lola Decor- also here on etsy which is a custom vinyl decal shop.

FYLM started out of a passion for creating custom designed gifts for baby showers and birthdays. Once I started, I couldn't slow down, I was getting requests from everyone I knew... so, I decided to open a second shop here on etsy just for these items. I use sublimation - which is a great way to produce onesies/kids shirts as it will not fade or crack.

Thanks for inviting me to your group. :)

Re: Welcome

Hi Everyone,
I'm Heather of HeathersTreasure. I am based in Ireland and am a full time stay at home mum with two children aged 7 and 5. My love of sewing really grew out of an obsession with beautiful fabrics. I started making dresses for my daughter out of some of the fabrics and it blossomed from there.

I love browsing through Etsy looking at all the wonderful things people have to offer. If I can be even half as creative as some of the people on here I would be very happy!!

Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing ideas!

Heather

Re: Welcome

Hey thanks for the invite! I'm Christine. My mom (Janet) and I run Knoodle Knits as our side business. I am a high school graphic design teacher, and my mom is a retired high school business teacher. We started Knoodle Knits in the Fall of 2009. I have one son, 19 months old, and he was the inspiration for our venture. We started with just hats for babies and children, and slowly expanded to include other hand knit and crocheted items. We currently hold licenses for several patterns, and have a number of original patterns that we developed. Looking forward to working with this team.

Re: Welcome

Hi there, I'm Ellen. Sahm/Wahm of 2 great daughters and an awesome hubby. I started sewing for my youngest girl when she was about two years old and haven't really stopped since. I started selling online with a different shop about five or six years ago with my little girls favorite style of dresses and after establishing that shop I decided to open Custom Crappy Clothing with the different designs (that my little girl didn't care for). Its starting out slow but great for me, lots of treasuries and lots of time to sew new designs for photography :)
I look forward to working with and getting to know lots of people on this team!
Thanks again, Ellen

Re: Welcome

Hi! I am Jenna, my mom and I run this shop and have been learning a lot the short time we've been on etsy. We are slowing working on improving the appearance of our shop and complying with all the CPSIA laws so we can ship more to the US. We sell a variety of things because we are always finding new ideas that we would like to try out. Some have been very successful, and some have flopped. I look forward to participating in this forum, it could be trouble as I like to buy and I am sure there is a bunch of cute stuff to check out around here! Thanks for inviting me!

Hi, I'm Rebekah from Danbury Lane. I live in sunny San Diego with my Husband and 5 year old daughter. I'm coming up on my 3rd year anniversary with Etsy this spring. It has been the most amazing adventure for me- a huge investment of time and energy! I love making tutus and accessories, and the on-line community of crafters has been so supportive! I look forward to another great year of sales and learning as I go along. Thanks bunches and bunches for the invite- I am honored! I am always interested in cooperative work and trade, so don't hesitate to throw ideas around! You never know what might stick...

Re: Welcome

Hello, I'm Maggie and I'm based in Bonnie Scotland. Having made clothes for my own children I have decided to add it to my current business www.trampmillinery.etsy.com and branch out into childrens wear. My shop only has a few designs for now but I'm sure many of you can sympathise that running a business and being mum is more than a full time job and there are never enough hours in the day! My girls are 6 & 8. Thank you for having me, I hope to be an active member.

Maggie
