Using the term 'ONESIE"

This morning I received notice that the term 'oneise' belongs to Gerber.

I have put my shop into vacation mode as I update listings to 'bodysuit' and 'baby shirt'.

I am wondering if there are any other search terms people are finding work well? I know that 95%+ of my daily hits are people searching 'appliqued onesie'.

I have contacted Gerber to find out if I may use 'onesie' in my tags (if it is not in my listings) and have also asked if I switch to appliqueing on Gerber brand onesies if I may then use that term.

Any thoughts on this? What do other sellers of this item do? How do you bring in views when 'onesie' seems to be the main term used iin searches?

Re: Using the term 'ONESIE"

If you use Gerber Brand onesies, you can use the word "onesie" because that is what you are selling. Gerber owns the rights to the term "onesie" and you can't use that term unless you are using their product.

If you are selling Carter's or Osh Kosh or Gymboree or any other brand, you have to call them bodysuits or one-piece or baby shirts. Anything else but onesie.

I use the term onesie in my listings, titles and tags because I use Gerber Brand and only Gerber Brand.
