Re: PLEASE HELP....fabric....

I just say I want to just stick with selling what is made.becasue if she doesnt like the end product you owe her for the fabric. And I find people who want special things are a problem in the end. That is why I dont make older than a newborn size.I get complaints because some kids have a big head and some dont.So in the end I just say I just stick with what I have in stock.Maybe you can ask her to send you a picture of the fabric and you may have seen it in your fabric store.

I wouldn't do it because of the CPSIA rules and the FTC laws. You need to know where something came from. If you put your label on it, it becomes your responsibility.

Re: PLEASE HELP....fabric....

I take those kinds if orders all the itme, and have never had a problem. I understand the issues discussed above. Those are all good points. However I have several clients that send me fabric regularly. I do not place a label inside these dress and charge for the amount of time it takes me to complete. Make sure you tell them the amount of fabric you will need to complete the entire order.

It's a judgement call and you should do only what you feel comfortable with, but I thought I'd give you another view.
