Promoting New Shop

I just opened my new shop underthesunquilts.etsy.com on March 26 and added some quilts and socks on April 11. Still a work in progress as I learn what and how to do things. I have sold 3 pairs of socks but would really love to sell one of my rag quilts. They are so beautiful and would make a great Mother's Day gift. Just not sure how to promote my shop. Any suggestions?

Get out into the Etsy world and see and favourite more people's work! Do some treasuries. I am getting the idea that Etsy is a lot like Facebook - the more you put yourself out there, the more you'll be seen in return. Your quilts are gorgeous, by the way!

Hey guys and gals,

I just launched our TopFabric Etsy shop a few days ago and have been spending all day and night uploading products one by one. We have thousands of products so this is going to take a while 0.0

We specialize in upholstery and drapery/curtain fabric by the yard. Great for a lot of the shop owners on Etsy to use as supplies! You wont find these unique designer patterns anywhere else!

I agree it is so hard to sell my items All of my designs are original. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am having trouble with facebook and think that might help. Is paying for a web page good?? Not sure.

Social media like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, as more people see your Product the more you will sell. You have a nice shop and I like your Products.
Im also new here since two month and have the same problem, but I opened a Twitter and it gave me some people to have a look, but from look to buy... Thats next question :-)

I have put a great deal of work and effort into it (as the majority appear to on Etsy with some amazing, very unique products) and have found like others it very difficult to get customers to buy and not just browse! I am in the process of trying to embrace social media to reach out to people who might not have heard of/used Etsy, and have even put an item in our local newsletter, but wonder if there is any rough guide to indicate whether or not it is going to take off or not?
