Introducing myself to the team!

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Amy VandenBerg and I run Crafting4Caleb via Etsy. My shop focuses on Personalized Embroidery with all proceeds going toward my son Caleb's medical bills and ongoing care. He was born in November 2010 with a super rare heart condition. He underwent three open heart surgeries at birth, 4 months of age, and 18 months of age. I've been blessed through my Etsy shop to raise funds to cover some of his ongoing bills and also to stay home with him and provide him the daily care he needs.

I'm joining this team with the hopes of meeting other crafters who love to be creative but also to feel like my Etsy shop is bigger than just me sewing and embroidering in my basement.

Hello Amy and Welcome to the Team,

I am very new to Esty opening my shop on September 8, 2013!! Oh, the life of a newbie!!

My thoughts and prayers goes to you and your son. Your love and devotion to your son is inspiring.

Your son is so "cute." Your shop, wow, it is amazing!! I have spent the majority of my working career in the medical field in some fashion or another. I am stepping out of comfort zone and starting working with my husband in the woodworking shop!!

Like you, it feels great to be part of something and get the support from other team members!!

What a devoted and loving mom! You are definately more than just an embroiderer in your basement! I checked our your shop and it is wonderful and it looks like you have done well for yourself also with it. You should be EXTREMELY proud of yourself to be able to handle the day to days with so much on your plate and still fulfill orders so do not "short change" yourself! I'm sure you are quite an inspiration to many!

Quite the change in career paths~ it is interesting where life takes us sometimes. Isn't it? Very nice wood carvings! I love your shop(: I'm new to this team too and only started selling a few months ago. Just wanted to stop in and say hi to all as well.
