Printer for Envelopes

Hey All!

I am in the market for a printer that will easily print on various envelope sizes (A7, A2, A1, Bar 4, #10 and 6.5 square). I also need to be able to print on metallic stock.

From my research laser will be best for metallic stocks and I'll like to have a straight path or worst case a "J" path feed. I do not want the envelopes to bend through a "U" path.

There is also a potential for some small projects to be printed on this printer with thicker cardstock (110# plus).

Hi Denae,

I know this isn't really what you are looking for, but I work with a couple of online vendors for my envelope printing and heavy cardstock printing.

www.smartpress.com - they are fantastic for larger orders, and their turnaround time is usually pretty good.

www.millerslab.com - they are great for quantities lower than 25, and they ship fedex overnight for FREE!

I wasted a lot of time and energy trying to find an at-home printer that's capable of heavy duty jobs, and have found that it's just easier to outsource it. However, I'd be really interested to know if you do happen to find anything that works. Good luck!

I do addressing in-house on my high volume, fast drying ink jet machine if this is something that may be of interest to you. I would be happy to send you samples of my printing work.

I do not have the capabilities to print on metallic stock. I typically have to outsource this. A good friend of mine owns a printing firm here in Pittsburgh called Alpha Graphics and they are great and incredibly helpful! They have helped me before with various speciality printing services! Her name is Sarah Meehan and she can be reached in the Sales Department.
