Monthly Geek Squad Contest - June Winners - Theme: Comic Relief

It's time for our second monthly (or bi-monthly, as the case may be) Geek Squad contest! Not familiar with the rules? Check out the whole ramble here:

Prize: $20 certificate to Sofia's Rose, excluding her stones.
Theme: Comic Relief

C-3PO. Falstaff. Timon and Pumba. The nerd world is full of (often brutally annoying, but always hilarious) comic relief characters. The examples listed are extremely narrow, and there is no doubt you could come up with one of your own (I tried to avoid lesser known ones, but my brain automatically popped to Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4. So the examples are endless). Your task? Follow the rules as previously stated, submit your entry, and sit back and wait for glory!

As always, feel free to ask questions, and we are officially accepting treasury entries (but remember, they don't count as much toward winning as a physical item).

Well, I just plumb didn't notice that. Uhhhh.....cruuuuuuuud, I just sent her a convo about her prize. Um.....guess I'll wait on a response? I can always judge again, but if she won't do the $20 gift certificate for her prize, the rules state she doesn't get her prize. In which case....yeah, i'll just judge again. And I was going to try to enter, too!

I have some "Comic Relief" items currently in my shop, both from the Dragonball series.

Love it, M&J! Contest rules ask that it be a new item, but I think both of those fit very well. So if it gets down to the wire and you can't throw something in, consider this your entry. Or at least a placeholder.

OK, I am REALLY, REALLY gonna try to do this this time. Of course my mother will be in town this week and then my nephew, then there's our camping trip ...but hey I can try! : ) Still my favorite team, and although it is frustrating that more people don't participate, the people on this team are really great-still my favorite team!

Hi everyone! I really love the monthly contests you have started here. I REALLY wanted to do a drawing of a Steampunk themed Princess Peach flying around in a hot air balloon saving Mario and Luigi from above. But alas, I ran out of time.

I don't think I'll have time to create something new this month for the entry, but I believe you said previously made items could count? I strongly feel that the turrets are comic relief in Portal 2. But then again so is Glados, Cave Johnson, Wheatley, well the whole darn this is hilarious.

Anyway... this is my humble entry if you are willing to accept it.

Michelle, yours is spot on, and Andrea, Turret Guns are DEFINITELY comic relief.

So, I think we should modify this. Highest consideration will go as follows:

Top: Items made SPECIFICALLY FOR the contest.
Midland: Pre-made items that fit the theme.
Lower: Treasuries and pictures.

Does this sound fair to everyone? I don't want to just tell people "Welllll, yes, you entered when there were otherwise no entries, but you didn't make it RIGHT NOW." That seems ridiculous. We're all super busy, I know I am.

The promotion treasury! Shockingly easier compared to the last one. I was pretty careful to use no one who was featured in the last treasury, but again, if you feel left out, say so!
