Re: September chat thread

im just glad its getting cooler finally! Here in Texas its finally dropped below 90. I really cant wait for the holidays though!

Okay so heres a geeky question for you guys:

I'm going on maternity leave early next year and need either a Gameboy or PSP game suggestion to help keep me sane. Im partial to RPGs and platformers but im open to suggestions. My only exception to platformers is Mario. Mario and friends have a dear place in my heart however alot of the recent games are way too kiddy and just dont hold the same appeal they used to

BTW CrystalCat: I love her Nintendo items are freaking awesome!

Re: September chat thread

Does anyone believe in ghosts? I'm sorta torn because I think I saw one or at least I saw something I couldn't explain. But then I think I was just being silly.

Re: September chat thread

The end of summer always makes me a bit sad.

As for ghosts, I don't know. If they're real I don't think they are what we think they are (if that makes sense).

Re: September chat thread

@Jashme - it does to me. One of my friends lived in a old farm house and had a Christmas party. He had a black and white cat which everyone like. One of the guests asked my friend why the orange cat wouldn't leave the front bedroom. He had sat for like 30 minutes and petted it. My friend explained he only had the one and several other people said they had seen it at other parties and were curious why he had never talked about it. The little orange kitty was seen in that one bedroom the whole 10 years my friend lived in the house. He never could figure it out but there was never an orange kitty in the house - he never saw it.

Re: September chat thread

sometimes I think that cats can phase through walls.
I have heard stories like that before. I do find it very interesting.

Re: September chat thread

I've recently been hooked on Ghost Adventures. Its not really the best proof of ghosts, but its still very entertaining. I like to think of ghosts in a slightly more scientific way. Like... they are extra energy that is released when we die. Or something like that.
As far as cats go... My mom tells me stories of the mediums in our family. Cats have always been with us because they can see the ghost realm. Very interesting! ^_^

Re: September chat thread

Yay for September! It's getting cooler and less horrendously sunny. And it's a great time to start back up with my fall items, yay.

@Bunnycup: you know, on gameboy all I have every played in my life is Zelda and Pokemon...I don't usually branch out. I was very interested in getting a PSP but the DS has Pokemon so...it's a conundrum.

As for ghosts, I've had enough messing with the paranormal and I would rather not think about it. xD Plus, it's close to Halloween, any ghost I see better be a kid under a bed sheet!

Re: September chat thread

I personally don't have a big problem with the paranormal , in fact I have wanted to go investigate some places around here and get some pictures. I also look forward to Halloween my favorite holiday . :)

Re: September chat thread

That would be the coolest time to have a b-day. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I do like to dress up though. I made my costume last year...... I am not a sewing person thats for sure, its Kitara from Avatar last airbender in her fire nation outfit http://crystalcat1989.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d31asl8
I decided to just flatten my hair though when I went to the halloween party.

Re: September chat thread

@Celestial: I have that problem because I really messed around, I mean not just taking pictures or anything. Messed around and got myself in pretty deep.

My stepmother has her birthday near Halloween and she is obsessed with that holiday. Every year we just buy her more Halloween stuff. The best time to Halloween shop is at Spirit two days after, so we bring her there and have her pick out whatever she wants.

I made my costume this year as well! I like your costume, I don't know who the character is but it's pretty. Lucky, being in Oregon you can't comfortably wear costumes like that. It's cold, rainy, and windy. :(

I always wanted to try and cosplay. For my friends birthday in Oct. we are going to comic con here in NYC. I keep thinking of doing something, but all I come up with is being a Sim. lol

Re: September chat thread

My word, yes it's fall early. I swear it feels like the end of October already, so of course I have hay/tree pollen fever like crazy. (Down side to purchasing our house in December: we didn't realize the fields to our east, west, and north were all hay fields to supply the herd of meat goats the farmer we neighbor has.)

As for ghosts, I can't speak much on them. Though back when my great-grandmother passed, I could swear I felt her nearby for months afterward. Why she'd hang around me when she had six children, twenty-four grandchildren, and at least twenty other great-grandchildren at the time to watch over, I don't know. Likely it was just the imaginings of a young girl, who just so happened to be slightly obsessed with ghost stories at the time, experiencing her first loss.

It's empathy, low level telepathy, and dreams that have a disturbing tendency of coming true that seem to follow me and my family around. And then, it's almost always the women, or oddly enough the dyslexic men, which would mean their left and right hemispheres are "hardwired" together in part. Anyone else?

Re: September chat thread

I read an article somewhere about claravoiance. That humans in our ancient past had a third eye that was able to see into this other realm of space, time, the afterlife, all that strange stuff. Few people had an affinity for it.. As technology developed and as we moved out of the woods and into cities, we lost touch with this third eye and the other realm.
When you have paranormal experiences, or dreams of the future that come true, this is in part that eye awakening. And with training you can open it more and more.
I thought it was a very cool story! My husbands family is greek and its a superstition for the family to hang these blue eye charms around the house because they chase away evil spirits. I think that's because the eye can actually see the spirits or something.
