April 2014 Game of the Month

April's Game of the Month is Dark Souls. The second game just came out last month.
This game is HARD. I mean, really hard. But it makes it that much more gratifying when you actually beat a boss or get past an area.

This game has a hardcore fan base too. I have a few Dark Souls items in my shop and I am constantly selling out of them. They are my biggest sellers and have been for over a year. I get a lot of repeat customers that love this game. One of the goals of Game of the Month (besides an excuse to play video games), is to have new and different items in your shop that will bring you sales, and I think this game will do that, based on my experience with my items, and also because there really isn't a lot of Dark Souls fan art on Etsy.

Oh, and just a side note: I was on Steam this morning and I saw that The Path is available on there now, and it brought back memories of our very first Game of the Month :)

Only a week left! Has anyone been working on anything?? I have been so busy this month getting ready for 2 craft shows coming up, I haven't had a chance to try this game out yet!

A friend of mine said I should make something about rage quitting because the game is so hard :P

This month seems like it's been flying by, but I do hope there is at least one entry, because Dark Souls fans seems like they are rabid for handmade merch.
Ha, Michelle, that's a good idea. I don't know how many times my husband has said, "I hate this game!" and thrown his controller, only to play the game an hour later and say, "I love this game." lol

I've been so busy this month! I have two HUGE conventions at the end of May, and so that has been taking up all of my time.

I know a few things I would probably make, but I haven't played it yet. I only played some of Demon Souls.

I would love to see an entry, but I know how busy everyone is. Dark Souls fans will throw money at you if you make them things tho, so definitely consider making some things if you have time in the future.

I'm game for extending it until the end of May, but if there's a different one that everyone would rather do, go for it.
