Hey yall,
I told you last week that I'm remodeling my sewing shop. I'm so happy to report that the first part of the floor decoupage is done, yee haw !!!. Just about bit off more than I could chew, lol, my knees and back are payn for it.
Doin the shabby chic style, and let me tell you girls, scrapbook paper is just great for this project. But it is expensive to a large floor, mine is 300 sq. ft. so I think I will use black and white card stock and then lay my scrapbook paper on top scattered about, that way it wont cost so much.
And here is a good tip: go buy the elmers glue in the gal. size, mix up about two cups glue and one cup water mix will if you want it thinner add more water. Just brush it on or use a paint roller thats the fastest way.
Then after that dries, for about 12 hours or so, use a clear sealer, like a varnish. For the floor I'm putting on 3 coats, maybe I will be done soon!!
Let me know what you galls are up too in your craft/sewing/ etc. studio/shop/corner, what ever you call your space and add pictures, I will when I'm finished.
By for now yall GRITS
BLESSINGS !!!!!
Sandra
