Good morning. I had my last craft show yesterday and it went OK. Story of this year. Last year was amazing this year just OK. I hope next year is a little bit better.
Busy renewing and adding new listings today between basketball games. I hate these Sunday games. They are so late in the day and one is traveling north and one traveling south.
Hi everyone hope you had a great weekend. Rosey, I am so sorry that the craft shows did not do that great this year. I have heard that from a lot of sellers in the forums.
Working hard but not sure I will get all required Christmas orders done. I have been fighting sometype of illness that really never went away from when I was in the hospital. I have a doctors apt Friday and sure hope to get some answers. My fear is they are going to find it is a bad flareup of my sarcoidosis which means I just have to wait it out and feel miserable for awhile.
No snow here, today is a beautiful nice cool day just need a light weight jacket. They are talking very cold weather this weekend and mixed precipitation in the north of the state.
I think my body is telling me I am doing to much. I was tired when I went to bed and did not get up this morning until around 11:30. Do not get much done when you sleep all day.
We are supposed to get real cold weather too. Then it's supposed to go in the 50's and drop again in the low 30's. I'm sick of winter already and it's not officially here!
Debbie, you could probably close your shop for a while and catch up a little. Seems like you'll be able to pick up orders at anytime.
Anne, I have been thinking about closing. for a short time. but can not make up my mind to either put it in vacation mode or remove my aircraft and then relist all my ready made toys just to keep the shop open for search.
Well, I have decided to pull all my aircraft from my shop for now with a note explaining why. I will relist my teddy bears, hippo, bird and other "critters" so my shop is not invisible.
Debbie, sounds like a good plan. Take a small breather so that all that stress doesn't suck the enjoyment out of crafting for you.
It is -7 degrees today. Kids had a two hour delay so that it could warm up a little. I'm not sure you can tell much difference between -7 or -12. I guess the sun makes a small difference.
It's in the low 20's here and freezing so I can't imagine what - degrees would feel like. My daughter is having issues with her eye plugs. I'm not sure if they dissolved or it's the cold weather and the heat is drying her eyes out. She has to wear the temporary plugs and they dissolve about every 90 days. She had an appointment on Monday but I never seem to schedule before they dissolve. We're going to the eye dr. tomorrow.
Oh how I remember the (-) degrees in the winter. It is what we called nose sticking weather. When you went outside your nostrils would stick together because of the cold. Not as cold here it was 32 this morning and has warmed up to 43 right now. It is supposed to be colder this weekend.
I took down my aircraft from my shop and relisted my little "critters" , it sure looks strange. Hopefully, it will not be for to long. When I reopen I am going to increase the cost of my aircraft a little. I had another order this morning before I could pull them.
Anne, I hope all goes well at the eye doctor for your daughter. It reminded me I need a new RX for my restasis. Tomorrow I have a follow up apt with my ENT to check on my swollen neck and area below my abscessed tooth.
Just got home from my ENT appt. It appears that I have an ear infection that I did not know I had and he ordered a ct scan of my neck to rule out an abscess. Now to wait for the hospital to call to schedule the scan.
Anne, Glad the new plugs helped your daughter. I may have to think about going that route. The drops are not doing that great.
I had an ear infection the day before I left on vacation and didn't know it. My ear just felt closed so when I went to the dr., they said I had an infection. They gave me perscription drops which helped right away. Good luck with the CT scan. Hope you don't have an abscess.
My daughter uses Systane Gel drops during the day which are very thick and Pura Lube ointment at night. I can't find it in stores anymore so I buy it online. It's amazing how the eye plugs help her eyes. They must have dissolved, that's when the burning starts. They are so tiny, the eye dr. has to use a microscope to put them in. I don't know what we would do if her insurance wouldn't cover them. They charge you as a surgery cost. It's ridiculous, it takes a few minutes to put them in.
Last night I got my first for this year, I see my package was delivered but I didn't receive it. She said there are a bunch of mailboxes together so she will let me know if the postman put it in a neighbor's box. It was from my other shop. I don't know what to do if she tells me she didn't receive it.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I crocheted until I felt my fingers were going to fall off. I did the best I could to get as many orders out for Christmas. I feel bad that there is still so many that may or may not have been gifts , the buyers never said. I will keep going to try and get caught up.
My ct scan is scheduled for Wed, afternoon. Then the waiting game for the results.
I got in a "fight" with my satellite company. They promised in writing a $30 per month credit x 1 yr. since I have been with them since 1999. I got one month then the credit stopped. They gave me every excuse they could think of , then asked what I was going to do. I said cancel my account, I have no TV today but will be getting a new company installed tomorrow. They gave me a good deal for a 2 yr contract. I get more channels then I had at less money.
