Hi Rosey, hope your vacations were good. bet you are busy with sports.
So far no rain today . maybe I should not say anything. my supply shop has been doing good this weekend , I have had 6 sales. Going to have to resupply my inventory soon.
I am still very busy with soccer. I had to run over to let the coaches in to get their uniforms and of course there was trouble. One team had 2 #7's and no #14. We had late add ons while I was on vacation and all their shorts are on back order. Once the season starts I wont be as busy.
I had an appt. with my nephrologist , normally she is not happy with me and complains that I eat wrong do not exercise enough .... Today she said she read my chart (all my doctors are linked electronically) and was very proud of me for making it through my flare-up and could not believe everything I have gone through since my last visit.
Could not believe I was still walking 1hour almost every day and wants me to keep up the good work. I almost asked her where did my doc. go cause this one was real nice and positive.
I sure wish I knew how to write crochet patterns I am still getting requests for my patterns, but they are all written in a short hand note style with lots of photos. Even the parts I do not know what they actually are so I made up names to represent what they look like or called them part A or B ...
I just received a convo that made me laugh. I love my customers but sometime you have to wonder what they are thinking. This person wrote and asked me if we weren't supposed to mail our packages as soon as we received their payment. She said she was a bit confused why I didn't mail it as soon as I received the payment! I wish I could just sit by my computer every minute of the day.
I went to Costco to do my daily walk and have lunch. Weather was hot and humid when I left the house . Just as I pull into my carport the sky opened up, became very dark and gloomy. I spent 20 minutes sitting in my car waiting for the rain to let up. Now it is sunny and hot again.
Well yesterday I spent 20 minutes in the car due to rain, Today I spent 1 hour sitting outdoors in the heat due a gas leak in my house. I had gone walking an when I got home the gas company was here. My neighbor said she smelled gas in their house when they got home from vacation. the gas guy could not find a leak but could smell the gas. I opened my door and told him I think I found the leak. My house smelled strongly of gas. It was my fireplace the valve was leaking. so opened the windows and doors, he shut off the gas . I had to wait for it to clear before I could go back inside.
I am now waiting for the plumber to tell me how bad and how much to fix.
Anne. sounds like the type of rain we got yesterday. Knock on wood no rain today. Hoping the grass will dry so I can mow it.
The plumber just left. The first quote he gave me sat there and stared at him. They need to tear out half of my stone fireplace and replace the valve and line. Then get someone to put it all back together. Don't ask price just know I would need to sell a lot of helicopters and still not have enough.
I asked if the leak is between this part of the line and the exposed part , can we just cap off the line and I will not use gas in the fireplace. That is what he was able to do. Cost still more than I had but much more reasonable. Now I just need to sell a few helicopters.
Gas leaks are scary. I know we have gas heat and everytime I see men working on the gas lines near our house I feel nervous. I just pray they know what they're doing.
I really need to find a nice gift for my neighbor. He showed up this morning with his lawnmower and weed whacker. The courtyard looks great not a weed in site , grass cut.
I am thinking the next time I go to Costco I need to pick up some nice steaks as a thank you gift for all he does for me . He just seems to know when to show up.
I wish my mom had a neighbor like that. She's 90 and refuses to move. The person that was supposed to pull her weeds lost a few workers and is backed up with work. We are trying to find someone else. Her place is getting over grown and I just don't have time to do it anymore since I'm working with my daughter.
Maybe a gift card to a restaurant would make a nice gift.
Hi folks, I offer up over 70 hand blended teas in teabags starting at just $2 for 25.... 40 coffees starting at only $3.50 and 25 loose teas will run you only $5 for 4 ounces!
The eclipse at my house was also not much to talk about. It just looked like it does when it is going to rain, dark and gloomy. I did not waste my money on glasses. Now my sister lives up in the Georgia mountains and it was supposed to be the best place in Georgia to see it. I have not heard from her so I do not know how it was.
Clever idea Tim! We could see it turning darker around the time it came around here. It was kind of eerie, like a black shadow. I saw the neighbors down the street were sitting out with their glasses on when I drove by in the car!
