Glad you are safe Debbie. I hope your electric comes on soon.
My shipping prices haven't changed Tim. I ship First Class and Media and all the prices are the same. I have my own postage online and I think from the same Company Etsy uses.
Tim, I use Endicia for my postage. I pay a monthly fee and my postage has stayed the same. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a postage meter? Is it from the usps?
I just got a weird message on my Instagram pageI . I think it has to do with someone else using your business name in tagging. They have to have your permission. So it got me to thinking, I wonder if it is now against intellectual policy to use the hashtag American girl. So I went through and deleted anything tagged that way.
What a pain. My husband and I were talking about the intellectual property thing and I was like if I took a photo of you in an Ohio State shirt and posted to facebook would that get you in trouble.
I have to laugh at my very nice neighbor. He was just pulling into his parking when I was bringing in the groceries I had to buy since I had to toss just about everything in my refrig.
He yelled at me for trying to carry the bags , so he brought them in for me , took one look at the mess in my courtyard and said he would come over tomorrow to clean it up with rake and broom. When I told he I had a leaf blower you would have thought I told him He won the lottery. so tomorrow he is going to clean up his and mine courtyard with the leaf blower.
That really is annoying Rosey. Maybe you can add other words like hashtag Americangirlfun etc.
Finished my 400 hearts order. Didn't want it to get stuck in the PO as we have big holidays next week. I have so much cleaning to do. I'm hosting the Rosh Hashana (Jewish New year) Lots of cooking to do. How I want to run away lol.
You can't change the words around either. I had read/watched something that had said that when pinterest, Instagram, and other social media stuff came out they were having a hard time with people taking pictures with trademark items. I'm trying so hard to stay compliant but it's hard when you look at your stats and it says most people are searching etsy by the trademark name. Oh well, just stay the course and try to stay off the radar.

Just got back from the eye doctor, I hate when he dilates my eyes. I ws going to run errands but came home instead since I can not function without wearing my sunglasses. Will go out later. Tomorrow I see the retinal specialist no more eye dilation.
Anne, am I dreaming but your daughter uses eye drops for dry eye and uses the gel/ointment at night.
My doctor took me off restasis and put me on Xiidra twice a day and the gel/ointment at night. The tears are running down my face and the burning gritty feeling in my eye is gone. I hope it continues to work like that.
The manufacture paid for the first month. If you have regular insurance and not medicare/Medicaid they pay everything but $10. for the first year.
My daughter has eye plugs which are temporary plugs which only last 3 months. She also uses Systane gel drops through out the day and uses Pura Lube ointment at night. I have to buy the ointment online. I cannot find it in the stores anymore. She used to use restasis but it never helped her. We tried all kinds of things before the dr decided to put plugs in her eyes. We go to the eye dr every 3 months to have the plugs replaced. They have permanent ones but they are made of a different material. They irritated her eyes so we are stuck with the temporary ones.
Is Xiidra new ? The dr told us about a new drop but my daughter's insurance wouldn't cover it.
Not sure how new my doctor said was a new competitor to the restisis. The restisis was like putting water on the eyes did nothing I could tell the difference right away. It stung and felt like I had put the gel in my eyes. This lasted about 5 minutes then everything cleared and my eyes felt better.
That's great Debbie. I hope it keeps working for you. I never heard of an eye plug before. The dr has to put them in with a microscope, that's how tiny they are. Of course they charge you like it was a surgical procedure. It's so ridiculous but luckily the insurance covers it.
The plugs are the next step if these drops and night time gel do not work.
I just wish the treatment for dry eye was cheaper. The first bottle was free but the next will be about $200.00 I was told, because I am in the "donut hole" for drug coverage with medicare.
Debbie, I forgot to mention we run a humidifier all year long and have one in my daughters bedroom too. The eye dr recommended to do this to keep humidity in the house to help keep her eyes moist.
I tried that with the humidifier but had to shut it off. I would wake up in the morning with a very bad headache and nasal congestion. No matter how low I set it or where I put it in the room ,I could not tolerate it.
My pulmonologist told to shut it off. My respiratory tech that monitors my night time oxygen even told me to shut off the humidifier that is attached to my oxygen tubing. I know I need it cause my skin is so dry along with my eyes and I wake up with a nose bleed due to the dryness. Not sure why it bothers me. I may need to try a different humidifier. Mine is one of the filter less units, puts out a lot of water into the room.
We actually broke down and bought a humidifier online that was more than I would normally want to pay. We have it on all day in her bedroom. It shuts off when it reaches the correct humidity.
I just thought of another thing the dr suggested that we tried and seems to work. Fish Oil with Triglyceride. I buy them through Amazon.
I was taking omega 3 with fish oil from Costco that my PCP recommended. But when I went to the ENT plastic surg. she told me to stop taking it but did not say why. When I saw my new ortho when we were going over my meds , he saw that I had stopped taking them. He told me that in some people it can cause increased bleeding.
I then googled it , and the reason is because I am on a baby aspirin a day and it is more the omega 3 than plain fish oil.
At least it sounds like your doctor and my doctor treat dry eye the same way.
I will have to look for the humidifier that shuts off like yours. Mine does not do that , that I know of maybe it has a setting I missed.
The Xiidra rx they gave me are the individual small tubes. You are supposed to use 2 a day. My eye doc. said I could use 1 tube twice a day to save money. At $200. a month supply I can not afford the drops. This still only brings it down to $100.
If you get the eye plugs, I'm sure your insurance will cover it. At least that way you wouldn't have to pay for drops. It sounds like the drops come in vials like the restasis. I know my daughter was told to use 1 of those a day too instead of opening 2.
