Re: Local Crafty Resources

Stitch n Time across from MWU is a great place to take your machine for repairs. They are also awesome if you just have general questions. If anyone is interested in sewing classes I'm the instructor at JoAnn's. I teach all the sewing classes- kids thru adults.

Re: Local Crafty Resources

Thanks for these suggestions! The guy that runs Stitch n Time is really nice and knows his stuff.

@Stephanie, how did you get into teaching classes at JoAnn's? I was thinking about approaching them to teach a class since they seem to have the most active class schedule.

Has anyone been to the quilting store that's across from BJ's or the quilting shop in Culpeper, I think it's called 145 something?

Re: Local Crafty Resources

I've been to the one across from BJ's....Quilt and Sewing Center, I think. They have a large selection of the designer quilting fabrics that are such a beautiful weight. Amy Butler, Michael Miller, etc. But it does tend to run a little $$.

One of my favorite sources for trim is River Run Antiques, downtown. There's a booth there that has a TON of vintage trims. It's a treasure hunters dream!

Re: Local Crafty Resources

I just happened upon the job last year. The teacher had just quit. They do need a quilting instructor. I'm not into quilting so much, so I didn't want to take on the classes. They are open to class ideas too. Just talk to Josephine. She's usually there in the morning during the week.
