Booth Fees

Does anyone else out there have a problem with expensive booth fees? I would love to participate in craft shows, but can"t afford to shell out $ 300 a pop when at best I may only break even. I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this. Solutions? Is there anything we can do as a group toward organizing an event?

Re: Booth Fees

I think it's a great idea to organize a craft fair but in most shows booth fees are used to pay for the facility and pipe and drape especially if there is no admission charge.

Re: Booth Fees

I do understand that there are costs associated with running a show, so I wouldn't expect a free ride. I have no objection to paying a smaller fee - I wonder if costs could be kept at a minimum if it were held at a church or similar venue?? Perhaps there are shows of that kind already scheduled. Does anyone know?

Re: Booth Fees

I'm also interested in smaller shows. I've done the Port Potomac Vendor Fair a few times, which is free, but I think I've only made about $40 -_-;
