i had a bit of an adventure yesterday. i wound up in the ER due to severe, prolonged heart palpitations. they did a lot of tests and, after keeping me overnight for observation, wound up sending me home because i was not in any immediate danger. i have a referral to a cardiologist in a few days, so i'll know more then.
Oh, Sierra, I am so sorry to hear. Anything to do with your heart is scary. I hope all will be well for you. Get to that cardiologist and let me know what is going on. XXXX
they didn't call, and i had to bring dh to the ophthalmologist because he has an inflamed retina -- not good for a professional photographer. i'll have to call cardiology tomorrow, and i also have to bring dh back to be seen by the retina specialist.
on friday, management taped a 60-day notice to vacate on our door, with some vague wprding about needing to complete our recertification. all along we've given them every piece of paper they've ever asked for (some of which they've lost at various times), so we sweated bullets all weekend long till today when we could talk to someone in the office face to face.
it turned out all we needed to do was to fill out and sign 3 short forms. we told the woman at the desk the wording in the notice was scary, and she said that management had a limited number of templates to use for notices to tenants, that’s why the one we got was worded the way it was. i'm just so glad it was easily resolved and we didn't have to get a lawyer involved.
communication has always been a problem here, and that notice didn’t exactly help!

cardiology is still processing my referral. and dh found out he has a scar on his retina. he doesn't need surgery at the moment, he just needs a re-check in a few months to make sure it hasn't gotten bigger. it's a mystery as to how that happened, but at least he can still see ok in that eye.
and at least our tenancy here is resolved -- until next year, when we have to get re-certified all over again. i hope there won't be another scary notice, but if there is at least we'll know not to panic.
