Introductions

Hello,
I'm the team captain, Amanda. I mostly crochet, and have been crocheting for about 12 or so years now (I learned young). I also do a bit of knitting, and can make some basic jewelry like charm and beaded earrings and stretchy mala bracelets. I recently learned how to arm-knit which has been my latest obsession :)

Feel free to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself and what you like to craft or some of your interests. Also any other place you might be (Facebook, Pinterest, Blog, etc) so we can see more about your craft!

You can check out my shop blog about crochet, knitting, and other craft stuff at:
♦ amandajcrochet.blogspot.com

It's just getting started so I don't have a lot yet, but there are some free patterns on there, for both crochet and knitting.

I also have an Instagram, Twitter, and all that but what I mostly use out of the social media are Facebook and Pinterest-

Re: Introductions

Hello! My name is Shelley. My best friend, Kim, and I started our shop a little while ago. We both graduated from art school together and now are trying to do something with our craft! I hand paint vases, dishes, etc. Kim crochets and knits all sorts of things. Her stuffed animals are the coolest! :) We are currently just getting started with our shop so there isn't too much listed, but we'd love any pointers on making this a success!! If you want to check out more pictures of our shop check us out and like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ThereBeUnicorns?ref=hl

Re: Introductions

Hello everyone!
I'm Samantha Sierra, and I just recently opened up a shop here on Etsy. I've been knitting for a while, but just started crocheting, and am starting to dip my toes into sewing and cross stitching. Mostly I made my shop to pay for these hobbies. I also enjoy trying different DIY crafts if I can find simple and affordable ones. I'm hoping to learn several different crafts in the future.

Glad to be here!

Re: Introductions

Hello, I'm Cerridwen, a mother, crone, hedge-witch, wife, organic gardener, and retired Archaeologist with a BA in Anthropology and MA in the Humanities. I’m a Hedge Witch, and as the name implies I’m frequently found in hedgerows collecting or studying herbs. As a child I spent a great deal of time in the garden or the greenhouse with my grandparents, who were master gardeners. My grandmother and mother possessed very good knowledge about natural medical and healing skills using plant based items. I was keen to learn from them everything I could including their use for medicine, food and drink, crafts and dyeing fabrics.

While studying World Cultures in Anthropology I spent time researching how indigenous groups, including Native Americans use local plants for healing, food, and ceremonies. During my Medical Anthropology classes I was able to research the preparation of distilling herbs and flowers to make essential oils used for healing. I also took classes in Ethnobotany and was introduced to medicinal, edible, and useful plants both world wide and locally. While studying for my MA in the Humanities I spent time researching the use of herbs and how and why they're important to human spirituality.

After 40+ years studying, researching, and working with plants I now bring my knowledge to Kerridwen's Cauldron. It's an eclectic mix of Kitchen Witchery and Goddess Renewal focused on bringing positive energy and natural products to you.
I hope you come and visit....
Thank you,
Cerridwen

Re: Introductions

Hello friends, my name is Brian and my site is Summit Creek Design. I carve mountains and other landmarks into cottonwood bark and then using some creative work with lighting, clouds, angles and a camera create photos of the carvings in real life perspectives. I love the idea of using a small piece of bark to create landscapes that draw upon imagination.

Re: Introductions

Hello I am Jessica Rae and I am the owner of RaesCraftRoom. I love all types of crafts but I seem to only be able to really pick up on canvas work and cross stitching. I really want to try and learn how to crochet but I seem to have some trouble trying to figure it out. Good thing I dont give up :)

I am a single mother to 3 wonderful kids and I opened my shop on Etsy hoping to be able to make a little extra money and to see if I can turn this into a full time business. I would love to maybe quit my full time job and spend more time at home with my kids and my craft work. :)
