Hello, I'm Cerridwen, a mother, crone, hedge-witch, wife, organic gardener, and retired Archaeologist with a BA in Anthropology and MA in the Humanities. I’m a Hedge Witch, and as the name implies I’m frequently found in hedgerows collecting or studying herbs. As a child I spent a great deal of time in the garden or the greenhouse with my grandparents, who were master gardeners. My grandmother and mother possessed very good knowledge about natural medical and healing skills using plant based items. I was keen to learn from them everything I could including their use for medicine, food and drink, crafts and dyeing fabrics.
While studying World Cultures in Anthropology I spent time researching how indigenous groups, including Native Americans use local plants for healing, food, and ceremonies. During my Medical Anthropology classes I was able to research the preparation of distilling herbs and flowers to make essential oils used for healing. I also took classes in Ethnobotany and was introduced to medicinal, edible, and useful plants both world wide and locally. While studying for my MA in the Humanities I spent time researching the use of herbs and how and why they're important to human spirituality.
After 40+ years studying, researching, and working with plants I now bring my knowledge to Kerridwen's Cauldron. It's an eclectic mix of Kitchen Witchery and Goddess Renewal focused on bringing positive energy and natural products to you.
I hope you come and visit....
Thank you,
Cerridwen
