Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica, I'm 16, and of course from Florida c: I love to make things with my hands AND I love to mail packages so I decided to combine them both and create an etsy account. To me, it's not about making money; it's about making people feel like they are receiving a handmade gift from a close friend.
Crafting is not only my favorite hobby, but the only thing that can help me relax and express my creativity at the same time. I feel like opening an etsy store is just sharing the fun and joy I experience with people that also enjoy cute (kawaii) things and that's all that matters in the end :D
Thanks for reading! <3

I am from Jacksonville Florida and I have been collecting vintage clothing for over 20 years. I love the roaring 20s, the psychedelic 60s and the funky 70s. I am an IT Management major in college, I am an oil painter and I run my shop in between.I have a lot to figure out in regards to spreading the word about my shop while managing photo shoots and finding the perfect inventory. Its a lot of work but it is very enjoyable.

Hi everyone! I just joined this group and I'm looking forward to looking around at the different shops. I'm from Tampa, FL, grew up down in Ft. Myers. My shop is mostly fabric flip flops right now. I started by making some as bridesmaids gifts and really enjoyed making them with fun fabrics. Later on, I may add ornament bouquets like I used for my wedding. Nice to meet everyone!

Hi there, my name is Tracey, a 4th generation Florida Native and currently located in Fort Pierce, FL. I reopened my shop in December after an accident put me out of work, but it seems to have been a blessing in disguise because now I can focus on crafting full time! I am looking to get to know other crafty people, get some advice, and give some advice.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Hi everyone! Happy to have found this team! My name is David T. Salerno but I am known all over the net as "jewelrymandave"

I live almost smack dab in the center of the state in a little town called Summerfield, just south of Ocala.

I was born and raised in Rhode Island but I have lived in Florida since 1988.
I started working in a jewelry factory in Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 17 and I have been involved with jewelry all my adult life. Although I make very few of my own jewelry designs these days thanks to these old hands and poor eyesight, I still offer some handcrafted items that other members of my family make but most of my merchandise these days is findings and supplies, charms and beads!

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hi to all!! My name is Erika and I live in Miami Beach. My daughter-in-law, Deborah and I run my Etsy shop, which is a vintage jewelry shop. We opened last October and are very excited to connect with other fellow Floridians on Etsy. I have included our bio which explains who we are.

We are proud to unveil our special collection of vintage treasures collected through 1972. We recently opened the doors on what amazed admirers are calling the Vintage Vault. Inside was an amazing statement collection of vintage originals systematically organized by designer and genre. The never-worn items were painstakingly heat sealed in air-tight plastic bags. The owners didn't realize that 40 years would pass before their treasures from legendary fashion icons would thrill a new generation.

As we sort through the Vintage Vault Collection, we are discovering an amazing retrospective of authentic, never-worn high fashion designer originals. Legendary labels include Lanvin, the ground-breaking icon and most revered designer of classic Europe. Alongside are pieces of the daring Gucci; the highly popular and retro-respected Trifari; the flamboyant Kenneth Lane (Elizabeth Taylor's favorite); Vintage Elite; 60's Hippie pieces; Buddhas; genuine jade, ivory, coral and tiger eye enamel and Bakelite pieces. These are timeless classics that have a meaningful history and make a strong statement about the wearer's discerning sense of style.

Most amazing of all is the notable superiority of materials and craftsmanship in the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. The Collection features some unique collaborations: designs from the heyday of Fashion Breakouts, often combining European designs spectacularly finished by American manufacturing . The owners were U.S. based producers who worked with some of the greatest fashion houses, so the items are uniquely unworn AND vintage -- many in Gallery quality and to be shown in Vintage Art Exhibits, These originals are a testimonial to a quality of design and production excellence that will never be equalled. Materials in use today are inferior and workmanship (Made in China) do not compare.

We are still learning about selling on Etsy and look forward to communicating with others who live in our state and making new friends!

Wishing great success to all!!

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hi! My name is Dee and I live in Miami with my husband and two beautiful girls. After losing my corporate job of 10 yrs I decided to join etsy and follow my passion for creating handmade party decorations. My husband also joined in and is putting his woodworking skills to use by creating custom light fixtures and will soon be adding furniture pieces as well. I believe everything happens for a reason and although at first we started this venture out of financial need, we are happier then ever before as we work on this new chapter of our lives together :). Please feel free to drop by our shop anytime you like! We are happy to have joined this talented group from our home state!

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

HI MY name is Rosemary,
Here at Vintiques Prims...NEVER...pay shipping.. for Vintage hankies, no matter the quantity.
All Vintage hankies ALWAYS ship for FREE..no need for special coupon code or convo.

If you have a chance take a peek at my "Christmas In July" section...

NEW**** "GIVING" key necklaces..Purchase this key necklace with a word that speaks to you and wear it -- but ONLY until you come across someone who embodies that word or needs the word on your key -- then you give them your necklace. And on and on it goes.
...
I am always happy to put things on reserve for you. A lot of my items are one of a kind and I totally understand if you do not want to let them get away. Vintage Linens have become my latest addiction...

Please check back often...... I love Tim Holtz...or better said...his vintage stamping style. Tags, journals, wall hangings, jewelry....the possibilities are endless. Let me know if you have any special requests...I love the challenge.

Everything I make or find will always have a vintage touch. Here you may even find handmade primitives & primitive findings. I also love Shabby Chic items, so you will see some of those mixed in as well.

Please keep checking back...you never know what you might find.

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Ahh, so many Floridians! I am so excited to have found a Florida Team, I've been looking for a while but I had only found county based teams till today!

My name is Allyson Michelle and I live in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. I am a voiceover artist during the day, and I make candles and other home fragrance products in my spare time. However, until I perfect my formulas and blends, I only sell candle and soap making supplies.

Can't wait to chat with some of you and promote ourselves in and outside of Etsy.

Peace, Love & Sales!

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hello Florida Oranges ;-) I live at Marineland Beach just south of St. Augustine.

I'm a photographic design artist and illustrator. I design and sell a line of unique, high end greeting cards and fine art canvas-textured prints for both the retail consumer and corporate market. I'm now giving Etsy a whirl for single item type sales. My two most popular lines are Montessori education and Christianity. Often times my daughter paints the watercolors I use to blend into my photographic art! She's 4.

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hello my fellow Floridians! I am so sorry I didn't post an introduction any sooner. My name is Meagan and I live in Orlando. I have been crafting for a very long time (it's cheaper than therapy!)

I am a full time college student (interior design), but it has always been my dream to open up an Etsy shop. So after a month of prep during my summer vacation, I opened up my shop "Sunshine Bear Boutique". I am currently selling ceramic tile coasters that are totally adorable and addicting to create! :)

Re: ~Introduce Yourself~

Hi everyone! I'm a Miami native who's just recently joined Etsy. I create personalized and ready to sell quotable canvases as well as initial and monogram wall art. All of my items are completely customizable from the quote, to the pattern, to the font, to the colors! I only have a few items right now but plan on expanding in the next few weeks and hope to start actively selling soon. If anyone has any tips or tricks for new shops, I'm open to ideas! I'm glad to be among some fellow Floridians :)
