Your Tips: Photos

One thing I have changed in my store about 4 times now is my photos. I'm still working on them, but they are getting there!
Do you have any top tips, or examples of fantastic photos found around Etsy?

I would like to add my tip: Use the same, plain background on all your photos, where possible.

A light tent, a good camera, a dozen high powered lamps, several hundred shots at a time, a good photo editor, much cursing and a fifth of bourbon are all you need.

No sweat.

I second the natural day light comment, it really does look significantly better.

Re: Your Tips: Photos

I would like an opinion on my photos. We're trying to improve quality and interest. Can you compare and let us know what you think?

Here's an item with our new photo style:

and here's one the way we used to do it:

Do you think the new way using monofilament, light patterned fabric and no glass looks better? I think we got the images to look much brighter with truer colors and less boring. We're hoping we can stop trying new techniques now and get to adding new items. Do you agree?
