Since we are all relatively new to Etsy and are trying to find successful ways to build traffic to our shops (which will eventually lead to sales) I wanted to share a way that I have discovered... I have spent numerous hours doing team activities, with many, many teams.... It has helped but it's also extremely time consuming. What I have found to work equally or even better for me, is to search for tags that I've used on my own items, in the etsy search bar. This will bring up thousands of items (and thus, shops) that are similar to yours. I scan through the items and try to choose ones that are closest to what I have in my shop and right click on them, that opens a new window which displays the item and shop it's in. I wait until I have several new windows open before I go to each one. Almost everyone who's shop you favorite, will return the favor. This way just makes more sense to me because you are bringing in traffic with followers who like items that are related to your own. I haven't noticed a decline in followers or shop favorites since doing this instead of all the team activities. Plus I don't feel so bogged down in team activities everyday. I hope I have explained well.
