How-To Guide For New Team Format

Welcome to the Farmhouse & Vintage Team Newletter.  March 2019

My name is Arlene and I am Captain of the Farmhouse & Vintage Team

As you may know Etsy has changed the layout of our team, its appearance and how we post our items for promoting.  With any change it can be very overwhelming, to help and assist you through the new format, this newsletter details the basics.  Any time you need assistance feel free to me anytime or of our leaders.

The new platform for our teams is now called Community Spaces and this is the link to access all the teams you are a member of:

https://community.etsy.com/t5/Etsy-Teams/ct-p/teams

Our team is Farmhouse & Vintage Team and this is the link to access our team:

https://community.etsy.com/t5/Farmhouse-Vintage-Team/gp-p/22608

When you first open Community Spaces you will be asked to login, simply click ‘sign in’ and this will open the introductory page.  While you are there take a look at the drop menu and at any time you wish to go directly to your shop click ‘profile’.  You will see your shop’s icon your shop name which you click to go to your own shop.  Also is the latest activity, listing all the threads you have posted and liked and a thumbs up if someone liked your post.  Looking further in this drop menu settings and subscriptions are listed and appears we can change certain settings and subscriptions is a summary of your latest posts to threads.

Next to your icon on the right upper corner is an 'envelope' icon, which is direct messaging and is a great feature.  Now we can directly send and receive messages to any team member at any time.

The next icon is a 'bell' which is notifications of fellow members liking and posting to threads you have posted.  This is nice to keep track of members hearting our items and who are posting on your threads as well.

Once  logged in at the upper left corner you will see ‘teams’, and will open all the teams you are a member.  You may belong to multiple teams in which case you click ‘view all’ and will open all the team links.

Other points of interest, next to ‘teams’ you will see ‘forums’ which is forums for bugs, announcements, discussions and much more.  And next is 'seller handbook' which gives great information about the new community space and much more.

Browse through the list of teams you are a member and you find our team Farmhouse & Vintage Team click and you have arrived to our discussion page.  It is different the appearance is different but we still have the best vintage threads, blitzes and promotional threads for your shop to participate.

***How to post your items on team threads.

Please note the new team format allows for links and we no longer see item photos/picture until we click the links.  This may feel awkward at first but once you start posting it actually is a breeze to work through.

1st step and important, I highly recommend is to have two windows open side by side.

  • One window is open with the thread you wish to post your item,
  • Second window open is to your shop
  • Simply copy the link from your shop
  • Go to the window with team thread
  • Click the blank area to open
  • Paste the link into the area and click reply

That is it and yes we can post multiple item links into one post.

We have a lot new threads on our discussion page, and even more blitz type threads will be available real soon.
