Problem with finding friends email

I have no clue why this is happening...but if I am logged in either thru my business fb page or my personal FB page and I go to the find friends...decide to go to Outlook email and choose several addresses to send invites to ...it never works . No one ever receives the email invite. I know this because several times I have included my own gmail address and I never receive it. What am I doing wrong? I have tried this from my personal pg and my business pg. Should I be doing it somehow from my news feed? Thanks in advance for any feedback....Melissa

I just checked this function for my Yahoo mail and it didn't work either. The invitation was never received.

I found complaints dating through 2011 & 2012 from people facing the same problem. You can see the complaints from users in the comments section in these threads:

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. It seems like Facebook just never fixed a known issue with their software.

Sahiba, Thanks for the feedback. I never would have thought that the problem was with FB . But at least now I know it is not just me!
