I'm a sort of lurker (hate that term, makes me sound pervy), sometime participator, but I think it's hard to jump in when you all seem to know each other so well and I feel like I'm crashing the party. It seems like this team could use a little more activity, and I think you're all kind and open people, so I'm going to give it a try :) Speaking of pedi's... we had our first really nice day today and I wanted to put on sandals, but yikes! My feet need work and I can do it, tomorrow!
Nifty, I forget your first name, is it Nic? We definitely need more active posters- that's why we know each other so well- there's only about a dozen of us at most, who post daily. Sick of each other to be honest.
Not really, haha! but please stop lurking and start posting!
Thanks! Oh, when I said I can get my pedi tomorrow, I meant me doing it, too. I would die before I let anyone touch my feet. Actually, I've never had a mani, pedi, facial, massage, etc., and if I could could cut my own hair I would, haha!
Omg- I have never had a pedi either for the same reason!! I don't think I've ever heard anyone else say that. I am not a freak after all! Or I am, and you are too-lol!
I had a pedi once and hated it. I did like the chair but someone digging at my toes with ice picks got on my nerves. First they tell you to relax in these wonderful massaging chairs. Then the ice pick on the cuticles. A friend treated me and told her I would rather just sit in the chair and do my own.
I do my own hair and use to cut my own hair.
And please jump in anytime. I have no idea who the heck these people are. LOL We just know each other from posting all the time. :)
I have had a pedi once.....the Asian lady complained I didn't take care of my feet.
My daycare parent Jerrika paid for me to get another pedi next Saturday. They have the massage chairs too and a bath thing to soak my tired feet. I'm looking forward to it. I know I have feet, because I put soaks on them, but most of the time they are cold, numb and hurt.
Mani's NO, not for me I use my hands for working.
Hair cuts, monthly, from the same parent who bought me a pedi. And before her, I had another salon gal who was a parent, the perks I guess. I keep it short and use Granny shampoo that has a slight purple hue to it.
When I see old friends, they always compliment my old gray locks.
(If we didn't have this thread to post our ramblings, where would we be?)
Nevermind, I ordered some auburn henna on Amazon. Its a two step process that is made to cover grays, where normally henna won't. Its chemical free and supposed to last over a month. Can't wait to get it.
Corrine, with the "do-ray-me" you make on selling vintage why not set aside wee bit to go to the salon? Be pampered and get your gray locks dyed professionally.....it last longer and the products are healthier for your hair than retail purchased products.
Mickey my hair is short.too. lol granny shampoo....although I am starting to see gray in my temples. I think it is from stress. My husband has been gray since he was a teenager. I hope everyone had a good mothers day. Mine was so-so.
It would be bearable if I lost my Mother, I can't even imagine what you went through this last Sunday Jaclyn........heavy sigh followed by a firm ole squeeze.
Does it make me a bad person that I like to leave the facet water running while I brush my teeth?
And does it make me lazy if after an hour I realize I'm still play Solitaire on my pc?
