I love NY day... always with our best friends of MANY years (they come for Eve and stay the night).... no plans except some scrabble, football, munchies and maybe a little shopping at the yarn store..... total relaxation to start every year.
I was just "upstairs" reading a thread about people asking for discounts and lower pricing... this was one of the answers... I LOVE IT:
PickStitch says It I have stood at a farm auction for six hours next to the guy with pig shit on his boots to get an item, I feel that it is only fair to pass that experience on through my pricing.
Denise - having those first cups myself in a nice quiet house. Love the family but a little peace is good too ;) How did day 2 of the dress shopping go?
You all can keep the colds thanks
Ratties could be helpful getting decorations down and packed but just a small squad please.
Morning, Deb:) We now have three favorites, two of which come in shades of the very difficult to find color she is seeking....but not a definite "yes" yet.
She wants a very soft, slightly iridescent pale plum/rose shade....almost as if you frosted dark red grapes. Not sure if that is clear, but anyway, we found the shade in a few dresses, and then found a few other dresses she likes but not that shade....sooner or later she will settle on one:)
The idea she has envisioned is to create a fall victorian woodland feel for her wedding...dark woodland branches with shades of plum, gold, copper, and mossy greens, old lace and candlelight.
It should be quite different and elegant once all of the elements come together:)
