Wrinkles, I'm 55

I have some new ones....had some major personal stressors during 2011 but am now calm and collected. I stay hydrated, keep my face out of the sun, don't have bad habits except coffee, eat lots of veggies but am starting to see many wrinkles on my face.

Is there something else I could do or use that will help?

I'm 52 and I'm getting my share. I try not to worry too much about it - all you can do is take good care of yourself & your skin, get enough rest, and switch from 75 watt to 45 watt bulbs.

I know.......such vanity! They seemed to appear overnight though and was quite a shock.

I'm 55 too... just a part of aging! Smile a lot, they will be so busy looking at your smile they will never notice your wrinkles!! And what Rizzi says.

I'm ok with my wrinkles though..I have earned each one too...

I have so many laugh lines..

I heard on a TV show to put your moisturizers and treatments on at about 9 pm as that is the time that skin regenerates itself.

I actually want lots of wrinkles so I can look like my Nana and I want long grey hair so I can tie it up in a bun just like she did.

I love Aveeno products. Not for wrinkles but for evening out tones. I was and this is public but I will share anyways getting a dark shadow on my upper lip. My brother made fun of me thinking it was a mustache and I go it doesn't go away. He felt bad. A friend recommended Aveeno and it worked I don't have my permanent mustache anymore.

I don't have real noticible wrinkles so I haven't tried any anti-wrinkle creams. I love vitamin K creams again for the same reason as above to even skin tones.

I use sweet almond oil as a moisturizer now, maybe I'll add another product to the mix and come up with something.

Oh and Argan oil! I have been using that stuff for about three months now and it really works wonders. Completely natural and organic(if use Josie Maran's brand), and you can also use it on your cuticles, your hair, anywhere. I am a walking advertisement for sunscreen and the whitest woman in Florida..

It takes me an hr. to get the natural look...ugh

I don't mind the wrinkles as much as i mind the droopiness and the bags. But I have done botox in the past and it is indeed my friend.

The thing I really can't stand though is not being able to read without glasses. That totally sucks.

I don't mind the occasional wrinkle or grey hair but the reading without glasses is really starting to get to me.

I've worn glasses all my life for distance, but now the 'fine print' seems to be getting smaller and smaller!

I'm 52 and don't have any yet. Rest is big too I think. I remember a lady in my garden club that was in her 80's and not a wrinkle! She had never let the sun touch her face! But really there are some creams out now that really help. I know Avon had one anti wrinkle or something and they all help a bit.

Botox (paralytic)is fine for some areas...Juvederm and Radiesse (fillers) are better for others: Juvederm will cost you 1500.00+, but will fill lines like marionette lines around the mouth or deeper wrinkles for six months. Radiesse is more expensive, but can last a year.

Beyond this, using a clarasonic brush to stimulate skin twice a day while cleaning and moisturizing may help because it keeps blood flowing to surface of the skin and helps tighten.

And, like others have said, cleanse, moisturize, stay out of the sun, don't smoke, don't overindulge in alcohol, drink lots of water to hydrate from within...
And be proud of every one you've earned, as they are life's little badges:)))

Try a cream or lotion with glycolic or salicylic acid in it. Sounds scary but it's not. They will diminish lines, they really work. Use 2x a day. You can get them at a drugstore. Read the back to make sure one has it in.
