What to do...

I don't know what to do. But you probably could've guessed that from the title...anyway, I got a sale two weeks ago (like, 2 weeks to the day) and my shipping policy (along with my listings, I think) states that I ship in 2-3 weeks, since my items are made to order. So I get a message today from this lady asking me when I shipped her item, because she needs it tomorrow. (Note: I also request that people convo me or leave me a note if they need it sooner than 2-3 weeks + 1 week shipping). So I told her I'd refund her her money if she'd like, and I'll cancel the order, but how can I prevent this from happening in the future? I mean, by buying something each person is agreeing to my shipping policies, right? I don't know. Sorry if this is confusing, I'm a little confused!

Re: What to do...

Is it in every listing?

If not I'd put it in there - most people don't look at the policies page.

Re: What to do...

I would put it in the listings, and when you get an order email them thanking them for their order and add "just want to remind you that since this order is made to order, I will ship in 2 to 3 weeks, as per my policies"

Yep - don't count on policies or even listings (but should be both places). I also have in my made to order/custom listings that I will confirm estimated shipping date when order is placed or upon inquiry. And then email them when order is placed. They never read when you need them to!

Re: What to do...

Okay, thanks! I used to be a lot better about emailing them to thank them for their order...now I kind of just include it with their email letting them know I shipped it. Guess I need to stop slacking!
