NOTHING! That's what I hear. Complete and utter silence. :D The kids are with their grandma for four days. I think I'll work or something. lol

Doesn't make you a jerk at all I just dropped off my stepson not to long ago at summer school and now I can relax without him wanting me off the computer to play Call of Duty.

Nope not in my book. I loved it when i had a break and they were up by grandma for the week end it was wonderful.

Nope it is great. Right now my whole famiy (hubby, 21 yo daughter, and 24 yo son) are all rattling around the house. Hubby has his office here but is USUALLY out on the road but it is hot and muggy so he wants to stay here and not strap on his vest and gear. So he has decided to "organize" his office. The other two are either off or work later.

If you get too lonely I'll share. :)

I won't get lonely. I have a couple of audio books, I've got my music at a touch. I have the day planned to finish this necklace I've been working on for 3 days and then try a couple of new designs that are just too complicated to attempt with 3 kids needing something every 5 minutes.

I felt kind of jerky feeling so happy, but we do all need a break sometimes.

My husband is downstairs working but I don't usually hear a peep out of him until about 1:00 when he decides he's hungry for lunch.

What do you guys do when you have time for yourselves? Are you a workaholic or do you actually do something for yourself?

Jerk? No way! I'd love to ditch my little rugrats for a bit; even an afternoon would be LOVELY! It's a little....much; five children, all summer......

ooh! Usually, I run around like a madwoman; but last month I actually ignored the housework and went to get a pedicure when my mom took my boys to the zoo, it was DECADENT!

HELL NO it doesn't make you a jerk! I'd be dancing around naked if all my kids were gone for 4 days! I can only hope & pray that I get to dance naked.

I think this every night around 8 p.m. when my girls are asleep...finally silence!

My 3 1/2 year old seems to have to be talking, singing, or making some kind of noise at every second of every day!

I hardly ever get a whole day!
