Busy spring makes for us all to stay away and work diligently on gardens, spring cleaning and our etsy shops.

I'm in the middle of listing right now.

I have been very busy with farming, gardening, parenting, and trying to continue to build my businesses. (Oh - and keeping an eye on bee traps that have a lot of activity!)

This Saturday is our 17th wedding anniversary and Mike has already told me some of what he has planned. I am definitely excited :)

Bee traps! We need to save the bees!

Sassi - we are saving the bees. The traps are for the swarms. A beekeeper friend of ours catches the swarms, takes care of them, and extracts the honey. Because the bees are local (from our own lawn), I have been able to use small amounts of the honey to try to help with my allergies.

I recently had a daycare parent who worked bee's. He works for a company that specializes in growing, harvesting and caring for the hives. They split the hives and transport to area states.

They also filter and produce natural honey and a blended honey butter...uh, yum.

Sounds pretty neat in that case! I am all about the bees! One day I want to have my own hive and honey

I've had a whole bunch of custom orders lately and a zillion other things that are not shop related to do. i have got to get better organized.

last month there was a truck crash on I5 that involved a truck carrying over 400 bee hives.

@Joanna, at least now the bee's a re free.....or one truck load is.

I guess in most areas of the states they haul bee's to orchards, avacodo farms and onion fields to help pollinate the crops. Because those places have run the bee's away with infrastructure and highways?

Just got home from running, snacking at the GC and dropping kids off at home. Off to crochet.
