Shipping to Mexico

Good morning guys. I'm using Insurepost to insure my packages, but Mexico is one of the countries excluded in their list. Have you shipped to Mexico? Any problems? What company do you use? Thank you in advance for the feedback.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

Myriam you're welcome and I'm thinking it was Mexico City, Capitol and Biggest city there I believe still but ask your best post office person. They'll tell you if a lot of problems in certain areas. One lady recently had me ship to her DD in TX for her to get there because wherever she lives she didn't trust it but I think due to timing of a wedding also.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

Thanks, Gail. I'm trying to figure out what to do. This lady lives in Reynosa. Not clue if it's a small town or big city. Unfortunately, here at the PO aren't that friendly. I'm going to keep asking around in the forums. You said Mexico City and another lady San Pedro. At least those two cities are safe. LOL

I thought that sounded familiar. That is cartel area - not a safe area at all. The link above is one article I found but there are plenty more out there.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

Oh my, Deb. Thank you for the article. Not good. Yeah, I just don't feel good sending my stuff with not insurance at all. Call DHL I know it works for sure but it's extremely expensive.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

maybe just cancel the order since you can't get insurance on the shipment to her area?

Re: Shipping to Mexico

She contacted me first. So I told her I will check around to see if I can find another company to insure to Mexico. I just told her I haven't had luck yet.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

Myriam you can also ask if she can have sent to someone in the US who can get it to her. I have done that when not comfortable shipping down there in corp world. They then just came to get and take across border and totally understood as they too didn't want their stuff getting waylaid.

Re: Shipping to Mexico

Yes, that's a good idea, Gail. She hasn't wrote me back yet. When she does I will suggest that.
