Question for Image Sellers

Good morning, at least it still is here.
I have been working (Admittedly slowly) on a 2nd shop that I want to sell images in.
My question is what images are popular and what format,
are the inches 1x1 squares or circles, 1x2" for jewelry very popular sellers, more so than say just any old size image etc.
and subject matter, I assume (my best guess0 that medical images and steampunk are hot images right now, but I really do not know if they are, or if there are other subjects that sell well.
and the dreaded where do we get images to work with always plagues me.
Loaded question but any and all advice is greatly valued.

ohhh I like this topic!
people like me like old photos of hometown people. They make awesome collages. Some of them are pretty funny too.
Then...there are the classic car people! VW bug fans will go nuts over a pretty split window or a 21 window van. A pretty corvette. Car shows sell out on anything with pictures of the wonderful oldies.
Art deco stuff is awesome too!
Ahhh and then how about toys from the 50s and 60s? Those were so cool! Maybe miniature crackerjack boxes?
miniature old "wish you were here" post cards that could be made into awesome retro earrings.
If I made jewelry...I would SO be in your shop!

Artie, VWs are so popular..the old bugs especially those prior to 69. The front lights were doubled and inset. Bug freaks can see those differences and they collect them.
The hippie generation is coming into their own now too and we have money (some of us). Those old painted beetles and vans were what we lived in and lived for. Look at them.
I think you are going to have fun!

Artie, I can't add much more than Karen did, but I can tell you what I like. I adore old photos, anything from the turn of the century through the 70s, that capture a simpler, more rural, life.. I suggest going to some auctions and picking up boxes of old photos. The ones that may not translate enlarged you can sell as is.
