I need to get these sold, because my husband is out of a job tomorrow.

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

okay for the green:

Jewelry/ Necklace/ Lariat/ bling/ preciosa /swarovski crystals/ sterling silver white/ chain/ handmade beads/ made in the usa/ ooak unique/ lime green platinum/ dark silver

replace one with 'green' and you mentioned 'pave' in your other thread but it's not listed as a tag, is that important?

take out 'made in USA' and 'white' and 'dark silver' do you need OOAK unique?

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

okay for blue:

jewelry/ Necklace/ Lariat/ bling/ preciosa/ swarovski crystals/ blue/ denim sterling silver/ zeta/ white/ chain/ handmade beads/ made in the usa ooak unique

Okay, same with this one, take out 'denim' (what is "zeta"?), 'white' and 'made in the usa and replace with some of these instead:

blue black (is that allowed? If not just add black, you have blue)

crystal

drop

pendant

pave

etc....

Hope that helps!

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

and for titles, instead of 'bling' being your first word why not bury it at the end and start with 'drop necklace....' or what ever the style is (pendant for example):

Bling Swarovski Crystal Lariat Necklace Sterling Silver

changes to

Drop Pendant Swarovski Pave Crystal Lariat Necklace Sterling Silver Bling

or

Pave Swarovski Crystal Lariat Necklace Sterling Silver Bling

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

that way, bling isn't your first word. Who is going to search for 'bling'?

As a buyer and someone who may not know the terms, would first assume those are drop necklaces or pendant necklaces, go with the search terms first.

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

I think I might try Lariat Necklace as my first key phrase. So something like, Lariat Necklace, Swarovski Crystal Pave Beads, Sterling Silver Peridot Green.

For tags, 'lariat necklace' 'Swarovski crystal' crystal pave beads' sterling silver' 'peridot crystal' 'green crystal'

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

Your title could be " blue Swarovski crystal necklace with sterling silver"
Thing it would be found more easily...

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

I have found that the best way to settle on the first three key words (if you're undecided) is to think: what if some one asked you to describe your item in ONLY three words, what would you say? Bottom line, what is it? Everything else that is descriptive comes later - it's gravy. If you have several similar items, then you can play around and try different opening key words just to open up the possibility of being found on related searches.

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

start it with "crystal necklace" as the first two words of your title. that's a big heavy hitter per google keywords (and if they're hittin' it on google, they're hittin' it on etsy).

those are beautiful, earz.

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

A word of caution - crystal necklace on Etsy turns up over 100,000 items. You could have a struggle getting to the top. Crystal lariat necklace turns up about 11,000; lariat necklace turns up around 1,000. You kind of have to pick your poison. More searching a term is a good thing - too many tagging that way may get you buried.

Crappers!

this is why I am having a hard time, because the necklace can be described many ways although it's very different.

Re: Need help with TAGS, PLEASE????

You already have some great advice here AllEarz. I would definitely title them differently from each other as well. It gets you into more searches. Like, start one title with "lariat necklace" and the other with "crystal necklace". Good luck!

I know, AllEarz, jewelry is HARD! I have a lot of different things in my shop, and by far it is the jewelry that's driving me bananas!
