Is everyone on for CIJ?

This is my first year doing the "Christmas In July" sale, & I was a little confused by what dates it was running.

Has everyone who's going to participate started their sale? I started running mine yesterday, & have had 7 SALES since then, so I think people are already looking for it!

I started mine but I haven't sold anything that was on sale yet. Made a regular sale. I'm going to run mine all month cause I am trying to destash.

I put everything in my shop on sale (with Etsy On Sale - so great!). I made a tonne of items for a craft show that was then cancelled, so I really need to move some inventory.

I'm pretty sure CIJ is running until the end of July, but I've noticed all different start dates for others. If you are planning on participating, it seems like lots of buyers are already looking for it!

I can't because I just did a milestone sale (30% off to celebrate 300 sales) and I promised my peeps it was the last one until I hit 500. It was very sucessful and I'm catching up; so I'm looking forward to having a little downtime.

I'm thinking of doing the free shipping thing for CIJ, but maybe only for a week or ten days. Free shipping from Canada REALLY cuts into the old profits, but it is appealing to customers I think.

Okay, I'm experimenting with a 10% off sale. It's not much, but if I actually start making sales, maybe I can increase it.

I just started mine. I'm only doing 15% off. How is everybody doing it, do u need to do with each tag and tile, or just some to get people in the door?
My other shop has 140 listings it will take forever to do that one.

Items in my CIJ have been marked down 33% in my CIJ section.

i think it starts officially on 7/14. if you do a biz topics forum search for the thread by designedbylucinda, she's the one that has "planned" it every year and i think etsy goes with the dates she lists in that thread.

but regardless, i started mine already. and many others are as well, i think.

use etsyonsale.com. makes tagging easy-peasy. it can also update all of your prices and put "sale" in your titles. i highly recommend it. :) and you get 5 free credits for signing up. and it costs 1 credit for a tag change and 4 credits to do a sale. if you want to use a referral code and get someone else some free credits as well, you can do that. i've gotten a couple to give me free credits on referral number XHHP6ISF17, but if anyone else wants to list their referral number here, you can use them since i don't want to be a hog! :) if no one else wants the credits, feel free to use my referral number.
