If you decide to work for non-profit organisation seasonal employment is always something you have to take into account.... so, I found myself without a day job as my contract just ended 2 weeks ago and there was no funding to continue.
These times of uncertainty are always hard to deal with, but since I am pregnant it is extra worrying. I could still work till the end of the year, but who hires a pregnant woman???
But complaining about things that I can't change...what's the point in that?
I keep telling myself that I will just have to work extra hard on my Etsy shop and try to make it as stable an income as I can. But when sales are slow it is hard to keep your chin up and not question yourself and your life's decisions....
But there is hope.... at least I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, so I keep running towards it. Last week I was metioned with one of my products in the Etsy Success newsletter (THANK YOU ETSY STAFF), which did not in any sales, but incredible amounts of views and likes....that will hopefully soon turn into sales.
Then I had a front page feature 2days later. HOORAY!
Again no sales...but hopeful views and likes.
And today I had mail from the US - I live in France...... and it was a nice, glossy crafts magazine.

I was very confused cause I hadn't subscribed to anything...... but looking through it I saw on page 30.. TAA DAA!!! I am featured!

WOW!
So a lady contacted me months ago if I would send her some pics and I did, but I never heard anything else from her..... and now this!
What a NICE SURPRISE!!!
So I am thinking: Maybe things are starting to fall into place??? Maybe I will be able to continue and develop my Etsy shop....and maybe I will be able to live off it.
Maybe....
So I guess I am telling you this cause I feel like I need to compensate for all the times I have been looking in this group for cheer-ups and advice.
And your good words of support and help have actually helped. I think I am on a good path.
Thank you team!
