1) Follow the team on twitter - 10 minutes
twitter.com/etsymeetntweet - follow the team's twitter and the people the team is "Following" That's the Team! Hint: it's the smaller list! - just click 'Follow' right down the line - you'll be done before you know it!

2) Set up https://roundteam.co - automatic team retweets - 5 mins
Followed-->#etsymnt | Set Filters: no conversations, min rt interval 12, profanity
Followers-->#etsymnt | Set Filters: no conversations, min rt interval 5, profanity

3) Set up http://www.etsy-fu.com/ - 24/7 Auto Product Tweets Time: 2-3 mins
Sign up for the free trial - no credit card needed. Set the Global Hashtag as #etsymnt -->Settings-->Tags

4) https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/ - Bird's Eye View of Team Activity - 5-10 mins
Once you've signed up, here are some suggested columns to add:

1. Your timeline – what your followers are tweeting
2. Your @mentions – who’s talking to or mentioning you
3. Your Interactions – who’s retweeting you
4. Your Tweets
5. #etsymnt team tweets
6. @etsymeetntweet – tweets from the team’s twitter
7. Etsymeetntweet’s timeline – all team member tweets

The above apps are not requirements. They are suggestions to maximize results and streamline efforts to save time. The main thing is to retweet the team and tweet your listings using our team hashtag - #etsymnt - do both, consistently.

The goal of this team is to support each other on Twitter. The theory is...we are better together. Together we create a synergy for building and engaging our Twitter followings and increasing exposure for our Etsy Shops.

We interact with one another, share information and retweet each other to provide our followers with a good experience through a balanced alternating flow of tweets.


OUR MIXTURE OF TWEETS looks like this:

1) some products (yours and others) 2) @conversations, thank you's, shout outs, replies, questions and 3) interesting tid-bits of info (yours and others i.e. stuff from the team's twitter--blog posts, quotes, tips, etc.)

Via our, still emerging system, Twitter postings are made both AUTOMATICALLY and MANUALLY.

Manual tweets are IMPORTANT. They let our followers, as well as Twitter, know that we are real people and not auto bots.

EACH DAY come on Twitter for a few minutes to make a few MANUAL TWEETS. If you check your @mentions/connections/interactions or Twitter or Tweetdeck you’ll see items you can respond to.

These are our three vital apps. They are not requirements--simply suggestions to make tweeting/retweeting consistently--easy and convenient.

24/7 Product Listing Tweets via etsy-fu.com using the team's #etsymnt - 1 Tweet per hour will get 8-20+ retweets from the Team generating 20-30+ shop listing views per hour for approximately 400-700 listing/shop views a day.

This is probably a silly question, but it sounds as if we're all supposed to follow everyone. Is there a thread somewhere where everyone's twitter link is listed, or do we have to go through manually and find it on each shop?

Hi Christie! Yes, you need to follow everyone but it's really easy to do!

All you have to do is go to the team's twitter.com/etsymeetntweet - follow the team's twitter and the people the team is "Following" That's the Team! It's the smaller list of 190+ - just click 'Follow' right down the line and your done before you know it!

Yes, they have a new feature. If you have the other two configured (followed & followers) like the picture, you're done. You don't have to configure the others. You can leave them empty.

Just need to check if your account is active or on pause? If you see a vertical plus sign your good. If you see an arrow your paused and you have to click it.

I just put 2 and 2 together! I taken a look at your twitter and noticed a tweet that i recognized as a Direct Message and thought how?what?why? and now i realize it the new roundteam feature! lol Sorry havent had a morning cup of coffee yet!

I would turn that feature off in roundteam....at least until we know more about it!

Hi you're looking good! the filters as is should generate somewhere between 8-13 retweets in an hour. That's well below Twitter's daily allowance (1000 tweets or approximately 40 tweets an hour). We never want to come close to that and get in trouble with twitter or our followers! Just keep and eye on your feed to make sure all is well.

Also, just remember to tweet your own stuff in between to break up the retweets. I see your using etsy-fu so that's great. Just try to go on here and their and post live tweets, hellos, thank you's, replies that sort of stuff. this keeps followers and twitter happy knowing someone's home.

I am running into an issue with members now following back. I check each day to try and keep who I follow and my followers in balance so I do not hit any Twitter limits. Any suggestions? Should I just remove anyone who does not follow back in a reasonable amount of time?

Hi! Looking good! The only thing i suggest is finding a way to get more tweets from you in between the team retweets. Ideally, you don't want more than 7 retweets before there is something from you.

Adding some manually like thank you's and shout outs and replies is great. It lets twitter know your account is operated by a human.

You can also schedule tweets via tweetdeck

If you add more products tweets using #etsymnt just be sure to space them out by 20-30 mins so they don't get retweeted back to back.

I see some members using DynamicTweets.com to schedule listing tweets.

Regarding Step 4 - Twitter.TweetDeck.com - Instructions & Screenshots

The 1st image below shows the links to click to add columns 1-4, numbered accordingly and the 2nd image shows you how to add 6 and 7. (You'll need to repeat this step to add both 6 and 7.)

To add #5 #etsymnt - click on any instance you see of #estymnt. This will open a column and you will see the blue add column button - be sure to add it for "Tweets"...NOT "Users"
