Are any of you selling on Amazon Handmade?

I was just curious if any of you are selling on Amazon Handmade now that it has launched. If so, what do you think so far?
I've been a little discouraged with how slow Etsy has gotten to be for me over the past few months.

I am. Lots of people have gotten sales today. None for me yet but I am excited. I am keeping Etsy too.

Re: Are any of you selling on Amazon Handmade?

I just submitted an application but it says it can take four weeks to be approved. When I was younger, my mother used to sell antique and hard to find books on Amazon. Once they went to Prime she didn't like it because in order to qualify for the free shipping your product had to be stored in their warehouse. I don't know if this rule has changed (this was a long time ago) and I don't know what the rules are for Amazon Handmade. If you have product that could potentially be damaged by someone else, having to send your items to an Amazon warehouse is a little discouraging.

I'm interested in hearing peoples experiences with Amazon Handmade and I'll update on my application process later. Thanks!

Re: Are any of you selling on Amazon Handmade?

Thanks for the replies!

I've had fewer views today on Etsy than I've had in weeks but have made 3 sales here today. Maybe the Amazon Handmade articles are driving some traffic here. Haha!

A few years ago I sold on Amazon but it was just a regular store and I didn't list any of my handmade items there. Only beads and bead supplies. I had a lot of sales but their fees were pretty high and it cut into profits so after a couple of years I closed it down.

I tossed around the idea of selling on Amazon Handmade too but I'm kind of taking a "wait and see" approach. I love Etsy and would not consider leaving it but I hope our traffic picks up here again.

Please keep us updated on how it's going over at Amazon Handmade. :)
