Here is a blanket that I just completed last Saturday. It fits under the new Fish & Wildlife Service interpretations of how they define what is allowable in Alaska Native cultures as appropriate, so it is legal for anybody in the U.S. to own. It is basically a sea otter pelt devoid of the head and tail, with a cloth (micro-fleece) sewn as backing. You don't see any leather with this handicraft.
This sea otter fur stole was in the Tinaa fashion show in Juneau, Alaska on February 1, 2014. Sea otter fur is the most luxurious fur in the world, and if you have ever felt it then you know why.
